[Event] Launch of BYS Nail Polishes
Booyah!

Still on a roll.
Thanks to Catherine for inviting me along to BYS's launch!

BYS stands for Be YourSelf.

BYS is actually a hot selling brand in Australia due to its good quality and being very economical for our pockets.

Before I go into the polishes, BYS actually has a lot of products!

That's right, make up products too! [Girls, you can squeal now.]
These makeup products will launch some time next year so you guys are actually getting a sneak peek here!

Look at how shimmery the cream shadows are!

I think these are really pretty~ A little hard to carry off but looks so gorgeous, don't you agree?

I love eyeshadows, they are so full of colours... makes me happy just looking at them.

So cute right?

They have mineral make up for face too.

Not forgetting the very essential eye liners, mascaras, lipsticks, foundation, etc!

Before the presentation, look at the spread the very wonderful ladies prepared for us.

Colourful and delicious, yes? [I hate myself for posting this at 4am. Now I'm so hungry!]
Sushi for us!

Happy girls are happy upon the sight of food.

Little sandwiches

Gyoza! [Been craving for some for quite a while!]

Oh, the awesome, delicious donuts.

So much colour in the spread in conjunction with the nail polish launch!

Awww, marshmallows! [Okay, I'm completely being out of the blue here]

Happy girl is happy to be eating all those happy food!

I really love how cosy the whole event was~ It felt like a chat over dinner with friends than attending an event/ product launch. They did the powerpoint presentation while we were eating dinner and then chatted with us!

See, everyone is happy!

After we were all full, we went over the the other table to have a seat and...

So much selection right?
Excited to start!

Not sure if you guys heard of such a polish before but these actually changes colour according to your mood!

They have "mirror" polishes and matte polishes too!

They have over 700 colours in total, but from what I remember, they are launching about 200 in Singapore first~

So after the dinner, we were given time to play around with the polishes.
I have to say, I really love how easy it was to apply the polishes given their very economical prices! [Polishes selling for SGD $6.90~SGD $8.90]

There was a friendly competition for the best nail creation with their polishes and Ju Ann won! [Sorry, no photos T.T]
If you are interested, here's what I did for my nails.
^ Before I got to clean my nails~ I love candy stripes!

Finally, before the night came to an end...

So sweet of them right? Birthday cake for the birthday girl!
Happy & surprised (:

Wheeeee, make a wish!

After the event, they gave each of us a goodies' bag~
We all went home with these:

Here's the box of polish I got!

Happy happy~

I can't show you guys swatches because I still have gels nails and I don't want to paint over them yet!
Here's a closer look at the eyeshadow though!

All in all, I really enjoyed my evening a lot thanks to all the wonderful ladies who prepare everything~ I really loved how colourful the food was to match the wide range of colours that the polishes they were going to launch have (:

You can grab a bottle of the BYS Nail Polish are Watsons stores Islandwide!
Prices range from SGD $6.90 ~ SGD $8.90, depending on which type you purchase [E.g. Neon, Matte, Mirror, UV, Mood Change, etc.]

Don't forget to like BYS Facebook Page for the latest promotion and news!
[A lot more colours will be coming as well as make up so go like it!]

[Sponsored] Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion Review
I'm back with my favourite drug store brand from Japan!

This Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion has:
  • Arbutin - Enhance skin fairness and helps fight dark spots. Dull skin is renewed to reveal clear and fair skin.
  • Vitamin C - Enhance the skin's fairness and repairs dry, dull skin caused by exposure to UV rays.
  • Hyaluronic Acid - Need I say more about this ingredient's hydrating properties?

This product strives to achieve 3 things many girls desire; Fairness, Brightness and Moisturizing. I certainly want all those!

Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion Review:

Manufacturing Country: Japan

Product Volume: 170ml

Product Ingredients: Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Arbutin, PPG-10 Methyl Glucose Ether, Disodium Succinate, Methylparaben, Styrene/ VP Copolymer, Tremella Fuciformis Polysaccharide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Succinic Acid, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate

Product Type: Liquid

Packaging: 9/10 - As usual, their packaging reflects their philosophy of being "Perfect x Simple" like any other under their umbrella; very straight to the point containing just all the information you will possibly need. Like the other lotion I've reviewed, the amount in the bottle can probably an equally long time as you only require 2-3 drops per application.

Scent: 0/10 - There is no scent at all.

Rate of Absorption: 9/10 - The lotion gets absorb in about a minute.

Product [Whitening & Brightening] Efficiency: 8.5/10 - After about 2 weeks of using this product, I noticed my skin looking more "alive" and, albeit slight, there was indeed whitening observed. Visible brightening, I must say.

Moisturizing Efficiency: 9/10 - Being Hada Labo, they never disappoint in this aspect! Their main focus in this product is not moisturizing but a combination of whitening, brightening and moisturizing and therefore, it loses slightly to the Hada Labo Hyaluronic Acid Lotion.

Texture: 8.5/10 - It is colourless liquid.

Ease of Use: 9/10 - The nozzle is small enough for the product to be dispensed one drop a time, which is perfect since you only need at most 3 drops for your whole face. Pour it onto the palm of your hand and just use your fourth finger to dab into the lotion and then onto your face; not that difficult if you ask me.

Availability: 9/10 - It is available at all Watsons islandwide.

Price: 10/10 - Yes, I can't imagine any score lower than this. At SGD $22.90/170ml [TBC], I can't tell you how much value for money you are getting for this product! It can last SO LONG and at such a economical price - not to mention the fact that it works well!

Repurchase: Yes. I always include Hada Labo in my skin care regime. Even when I try new products to review, I always go back to Hada Labo after some time because I feel so used to it! I've been looking to go back to whitening products [my derm advised me against it about over a year ago and I haven't been using whitening product since then] and will probably start with this once I finish my other skincare products [which will really take some time...]

Overall Rating: 8.75/10

Hurry up and grab yourself a bottle of Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion!
Go to Hada Labo's Facebook Page to redeem your free sample of Arbutin Whitening Lotion today!

[Sponsored] BRTC Multi Vital 10 System Line - Bright Eye Vitalizer Cream

Have to do this to keep the presentation of this line's review constant~ A little introduction about the BRTC Multi Vital 10 System Line

More than 10% of vitamin complex highly concentrated within all products from the entire range. Multi Vital 10 Vitamin Line focus on whitening inner skin and dull, dark skin blemishes. Multi Vital 10 Line is the whitening line that revises dull skin tone to be even and gorgeous by using more than 10% concentration of various vitamin complexes as vitamin B5, E, F and B3, effective for creating dull and dark skin to be bright and illuminated.

I will be talking about the fourth step, eye cream.

Bright Eye Vitalizer Cream [SGD $35/9g]

This Bright Eye Vitalizer Cream is a Vitamin spot balm for intensive whitening on dark imperfections and damaged skin spots. It is a concentrated stick balm containing more than 10% of vitamin A, B3, B5, C, and E and gives off refreshing feeling upon usage.

This product claims to be able to help intensive melanin care and skin restoration to transform dark complexion into a bright one.

BRTC Multi Vital 10 System Line - Bright Eye Vitalizer Craem Ampoule Review:

Manufacturing Country: Korea

Product Volume: 9g

Product Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol, Panthenol, Sodium Stearate, Xylitol, Tocopheryl Acetate, PEG-12 Dimethoicone, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, PEG-400, dimethicone, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Algin, Xanthan Gum, Adenosine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Borago Officinalis Extract, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower/Leaf Extract, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Extract, Hyacinthus Orientalis (Hyacinth) Flower Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Vitis Vinfera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Glyceryl Linolenate, Retinyl Palmitate, Biotin, Cyanocobalamin, Ascorbic Acid, Folic Acid, Pyridoxine HCI, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Product Type: Stick

Packaging: 9/10 - Simple and easy on the eyes packaging with most information found on the box once again.

Scent: 6.5/10 - The more prominent scents I smell are Lavender and Citrus (can't put a finger to which though.)

Whitening & Brightening Efficiency: 8.5/10 - This product claims that it can help to whiten and I do observe my dark circles becoming lighter and while my eye area looks brightened, I'm not too sure if it is because of the effect from the eye stick or because of the lightening of dark circles that makes me look more "alive" and therefore, brighter. Either way, both effects are observed so thumbs up!

Moisturizing Efficiency: 7.5/10 - I don't really know how to see if my eye area is moisturized... It did make my eyes less puffy, does this show the efficiency of the moisturizing aspect? Anyhow, my eye area don't feel any drier so I believe it works.

Texture: 9/10 - It is very smooth on skin since it is in a stick form. I love the cooling effect it leaves on my skin upon application!

Ease of Use: 9/10 - I really love this packaging! I've used those roller packaging before but this one feels a lot smoother on my skin. I had to take a point off as pumps are still more sanitary though slightly more of a hassle to use.

Availability: 7/10 - It is available exclusively at all SaSa Outlets.

Price: 7/10 - It cost SGD $35/9g and it is a little steep compare to other eye creams/ eye rollers brands from the drug store. I can't say about other Korean brands for this as I've never taken notice of eye products... [Yes, I'm a lazy, lazy girl.]

Repurchase: Yes. I really like how convenient and easy it is to apply. It does make my eyes look less puffy and dark circles less obvious so for a product that works well, I definitely will repurchase. Besides, it makes me happy every time it touches my eye area because I will anticipate the cooling effect!

Overall Rating: 9/10

BRTC is a very popular brand in Korea and the more I use it, the more I love it. I'm about halfway through, more to come!

Don't forget to "like" SaSa SG's Facebook Page for their latest promotions and updates! They have a lot of giveaways every now and then [and by a lot, I really meant A LOT] so you definitely don't want to miss out on that!

Packaging: 8.5/10 - Simple and easy on the eyes packaging with most information found on the box once again.

Scent: 5/10 - Compared to the cleanser and toner, this one smells less citrus-y and more towards Lavender and Fig. I don't dislike it but I still prefer citrus-y to this.

Whitening & Brightening Efficiency: 8.5/10 - This product claims that it can help to both whiten and brighten. The concentration for ampoules are higher and I do see significant results after using this for a week.

Moisturizing Efficiency: 8/10 - I feel my that skin is more supple after using this (and of course, with the whole line) so I do believe it works well in this aspect too.

BRTC is a very popular brand in Korea and I can see why. So far, I don't have bad things to say about their range, only praises. You will get to see more review from this line in the next few days.

[Sponsored] BRTC Multi Vital 10 System Line - Vitalizer Fluid
I just have to start my entries related to the BRTC with this picture

Well, firstly, they shower me with so much love and secondly, it has all the products from the same line and I will be talking about them in order as I've mentioned in the previous review for the White Soap!

Once again, in case you missed the previous entry, a little introduction about the BRTC Multi Vital 10 System Line

Today, I will be talking about the second step, toner

Vitalizer Fluid [SGD $39/120mL]

This Vitalizer fluid is a Vitamin toner aimed to create bright skin. It contains more than 10% of vitamin A, B3, B5, C, E.

This product claims to be able to penetrate deep inside skin to provide intensive whitening, add vitality whilist controlling imbalance within the skin and provide abundant moisture to create clean and clear skin.

BRTC Multi Vital 10 System Line - Vitalizer Fluid Review:

Manufacturing Country: Korea

Product Volume: 120ml

Product Ingredients: Water, Polyglutamic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Panthenol, Niacinamide, Alcohol, Allantoin, C11-15 Pareth-12, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Carbomer, Arginine, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Extract, Borago Officinalis Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower/Leaf Extract, Cl 19140, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Petrolatum, Polyethylene, Fragrance, Disodium EDTA, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Myrciaria Dubia Fruit Extract, Prunus Domestica Fruit Extract, Phenoxyethanol

Product Type: Liquid

Packaging: 7/10 - I think the packaging is pretty and very simple. Most of the information are found on the cardboard box instead of being printed on the bottle again. There is a lid to cover opening of the nozzle, which I really liked. However, I had to take quite a bit of points off despite loving the visual packaging a lot because the bottle is actually made of glass (I think) and it is quite heavy. I'm a little clumsy so I cannot imagine if I actually drop it and the heavy bottle actually adds to the probability of that happening.

Scent: 7/10 - Like the White Soap Cleanser, it has a citrus-y smell but this time, it is because of the Lemon extract. The Lavender smell in this toner is more prominent than that of the White Soap.

Whitening & Brightening Efficiency: 8/10 - I always believe that whitening product comes with brightening and in this case, I do see both effects. After application, I can see my skin looking brighter and "more alive" and with prolonged use (about 2 weeks into using them), I can see whitening effect!

Moisturizing Efficiency: 7/10 - Though the product claims to focus on whitening, it also claims to provide moisture and I do believe it does help in keeping my skin moisturized since I don't experience any skin dryness.

Texture: 8/10 - It is liquid so I will recommend using a cotton pad. Oh yes, do remember to PAT the toner into your skin, not SWIPE. A lot of people have the misconception that toner is supposed to wash away the dirt that cleanser cannot remove so you have to swipe it to remove the dirt. Big no-no!

Ease of Use: 8.5/10 - Again, I love products with pumps/ nozzle because I feel it is much more sanitary and the fact that it even comes with a cap to keep the opening of the nozzle clean makes me love it even more!

Availability: 7/10 - It is available exclusively at all SaSa Outlets!

Price: 7/10 - It cost SGD $39/120mL and I have to say it is indeed steep compared to many other cleansers available in the market [E.g. Drugstore brands]. However, compared to other Korean brands available locally, the price is actually pretty reasonable and on par with its competitors.

Repurchase: Maybe. I like the smell and I've seen good effects after using the products. I think you should be sick of this reason but I do indeed have a lot of skincare products in my cupboard so I don't think I will need to purchase more any time soon and by the time I need to, I will definitely have a great headache.

Overall Rating: 8/10

BRTC is a very popular brand in Korea itself so I'm glad to have started using Korea skincare products with it. So far, I don't have bad things to say about their range yet. You will get to see more review from this line in the next few days.

Don't forget to "like" SaSa SG's Facebook Page for their latest promotions and updates! They have a lot of giveaways every now and then [and by a lot, I really meant A LOT] so you definitely don't want to miss out on that!

An ad you can't miss and I caved
Hello.

I've done quite a bit of shopping lately.
Instead of sharing everything with you in one shot, I've decided to show you what I got locally first, mainly because a lot of the stuff that I got from Korea and Japan are still in their bags and since I have more things coming, I'm kinda lazy to take pictures...

Anyhow, I'm going to talk to you about this website called Zalora.sg
I've been seeing so many ads on that website - it's everywhere!
I think it's actually very smart of them to use google ads to advertise because let's face it, google ads are just everywhere.

I bought 2 items from them at an unbelievable price [below SGD $50!]

Firstly, let's see the top in the first picture of this entry!
I got this Colourblock Slit Sleeved Blouse from Evie at $32.90 [I think?]

I saw this item in blue and white in a google ad and I was attracted to it right away! I started browsing around the website under the blouse and tunics section I saw that the top also comes in this beige and green so I decided to get it since I don't clothes that are actually in happy colours. [Yes, most of my clothes are black/ white/ blue]

Mad love it, so pretty right!

Another item I got was this Casual Scalloped Romper!
This only costed me... SGD $13!

Tada~

While it fit me very well, I felt that it's kinda not really my style.

Also, I think while the size is okay, my boobs are kinda... uncomfortable.

Anyway, so I emailed Zalora's helpdesk about the exchange and in about 3 days, everything was settled for and they sent me an exchange label to return the item absolutely free of charge!
It was a bit of an hassle for me as I needed to print the label and well, I don't have a printer at home or a post office within walking distance ): Still thinking if I should do the return and then purchase another one...

I'm sorry I can't give you the links to the items I bought cos they have all been removed from the listing but it so happens that the items I intend to exchange the romper for are also from Evie! I think I really like that brand, check out other items from Evie here!

Anyway, these are the 2 items I'm thinking of exchanging the romper for:

Which one do you think I should go for? I think I'm probably going for the Kelly Keyhole Blouse because let's face it, my arms are just too fat to be shown and I won't do justice to the Sweetheart Bustier dress.

Okay, I shall end this entry with their commercial!

Update you guys again with more of my shopping buys soon~
I just need to find motivation to take photos first (笑)
Okay, another reason I can't find motivation is because I still have more things shipping over. Motivate me please?

Finally, can't believe I'm going to head to Japan in 2 months! Can you guys believe it? It seems like just yesterday I told you about my impulsive purchase of plane tickets!

Alright, I have another entry for you tomorrow too ^^ Make up for my hiatus~
Meanwhile, go do some shopping [So I feel less guilty about my splurges!]

[Sponsored] BRTC Multi Vital 10 System Line - Vitalizer White Soap Review
This is why I LOVE SaSa SG

Will you look at the bunch of stuff they gave me?!
So much love from them as usual.
I received these items quite some time ago so I've used them all by now [except the masks] and am ready to give you my reviews!
I am going to try and review all the items in the order of how you should use it in your skincare regime.

Firstly, a little introduction about the BRTC Multi Vital 10 System Line

More than 10% of vitamin complex highly concentrated within all products from the entire range. Multi Vital 10 Vitamin Line focus on whitening inner skin and dull, dark skin blemishes. Multi Vital 10 Line is the whitening line that revises dull skin tone to be even and gorgeous by using more than 10% concentration of various vitamin complexes as vitamin B5, E, F and B3, effective for creating dull and dark skin to be bright and illuminated.

Today, I will start with the first step of skincare - Cleansing

Vitalizer White Soap [SGD $35/200mL]

This cleansing foam contains vitamin capsules [concentrated 10% of vitamin]

This product claims to be able to remove makeup, bodily waste, sebum as well as dead skin cell at once with refreshing, plentiful foam. A moist film is created and the vitamin capsules burst when cleansing, leaving the skin moisturized and refreshed without feeling tight.

BRTC Multi Vital 10 System Line - Vitalizer White Soap Review:

Manufacturing Country: Korea

Product Volume: 200ml

Product Ingredients: Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Niacinamide, Cocamidopropyl BEtaine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Triethanolamine, Sodium Chloride, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, BEtaine, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Extract, Borago Officinalis Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower/Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, Lactose, Cellulose, Hyddroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Jojoba Esters, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Hyacinthus Orientalis Extract, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Extract, Cl 77492, Panthenol, Disodium EDTA, Cl 15985, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Product Type: Gel

Packaging: 8.5/10 - I think the packaging is really pretty! I've been quite into bright orange colour these days so this really appealed to me. While the little capsules are concentrated with vitamin goodness, it looks really pretty just being suspended in the gel base of the cleanser.

Scent: 6/10 - There is a scent but nothing unpleasant. I think it smells quite "citrus-y" and I really like it! Must be because of the orange extract but I can't smell the Lavender as strongly though.

Product Efficiency: 8.5/10 - The product description says that it creates a moist film to protect our skin from being dry after cleansing but personally, I do prefer feeling slight tightness as it makes me feel ... cleaner. Yes, that's one of my little peeves but anyhow, I did not experience any breakouts after using this so I do believe that this is doing a good job in cleansing my skin properly. If you are looking for a gentle and good cleanser, this might just be the one for you.

Moisturizing Efficiency: 9/10 - As mentioned above, my skin did not feel tight after cleansing. In fact, it feels quite bouncy after cleansing and that's really nice!

Texture: 9/10 - It is gel based so it is not hard to handle at all. It gets spread all over your face very easily and does not drip from your hands.

Ease of Use: 7.75/10 - As I've mentioned numerous times, I love products with pumps/ nozzle because I feel it is much more sanitary. While this product comes with a nozzle, I felt that the amount of product being dispensed per pump is too little and I usually have to pump it twice to twice and a half to get enough product to spread over my whole face. Other than this small issue, it's pretty idiot proof on how to dispense it.

Availability: 7/10 - It is available exclusively at all SaSa Outlets!

Price: 7.5/10 - It cost SGD $35/200mL and I have to say it is a little steep compared to many other cleansers available in the market [e.g. drugstores.] However, compared to other Korean brands available locally, the price is actually pretty reasonable and on par with its competitors.

Repurchase: Maybe. I like the smell and the fact that it can clean my face well without over drying my skin is definitely a huge plus point. Only thing holding me back on my verdict is the fact that I still have quite a few brand new cleansers in my cupboard.

Overall Rating: 8/10

I haven't been a big fan of Korean skincare/ make up products but recently I'm looking into them again [I was very into BB Creams about 4-5 years ago] because of my new found interest in Ulzzang culture. Many of them have good skin and most of them use mainly Korean skincare and make up brands. I've been having pretty bad skin problems since the beginning of this year so I'm actually cutting down on the makeup I pile on my face, which explains why I'm leaving the whole Gyaru thing behind [I still do it once in a while but definitely not every single time I step out of house like in the past.]

BRTC is actually a very popular brand in Korea itself so I'm glad to have started using Korea skincare products with it. So far, I don't have bad things to say about their range yet. You will get to see more review from this line in the next few days!

Don't forget to "like" SaSa SG's Facebook Page for their latest promotions and updates! They have a lot of giveaways every now and then [and by a lot, I really meant A LOT] so you definitely don't want to miss out on that!

xoxo

[Sponsored] Glomax Aesthetics Intensive Acne Medic Treatment 2
Hey!

I'm sorry for the mega long hiatus.
Anyway, I'm back with another review for my treatment at Glomax Aesthetics!
Remember my first one? [Warning, scary pictures in the entry]

Well, I'm not going to bore you with more pictures of the interior of the place again. As you can see from my previous entry, the interior is very cosy and I absolutely love it!
However, I lost the pictures of my bare face before the treatment because my computer crashed so all the pictures taken that day are all gone ):
I am just going to show you the progress of my skin.

From my previous entry, you can see how the swelling looked really scary after the treatment [because of the squeezing]:

Well, this time, it wasn't that bad because my face actually improved a lot and so they did not have that much extraction to do for me so my face didn't swell like a pig like the picture above.
Below is the progress of my skin for 10 days [I went for facial on 18/10/12]:

1 day after treatment [19/10/12]

4 days after treatment [22/10/12]

6 days after treatment [24/10/12]

10 days after treatment [28/10/12]

You can see that after all the bumps & pimples subside, my skin is actually less bumpier than before. Significant improvement on the nose and left cheek!
Don't worry if you get pimples after the treatment; the skin is actually trying to purge. Also, not sure if you realized but my skin actually looks brighter overall.

I can't wait to go back to Glomax for another treatment this month!
I will continue to keep a photolog of my progress for you guys~
Once again, they have very kindly extended this promotion just for my readers!

Quote "Himeko Blog" and you can enjoy the above treatment for just SGD $68 instead of the usual SGD $150. That's about a 55% discount!

In all honesty, I really hope you girls will head over and give this a try. It really proved very effective for me and I have nothing but praises for them! I am not going to lie - it hurts a lot. However, just grit your teeth and go through with it! That's what I did because I keep thinking about how good my skin will be after I get through it so I just tolerated it!

Here are the details you will need to make an appointment [call early, they are quite busy!]:
