[Sponsored] Lactacyd Revitalize & White Intimate
I received this lovely package from EK Media [on behalf of Lactacyd] on Monday [20th August] morning.

I love it when companies put in more effort in the presentation of products. When they do that, it makes me feel more appreciated and I will be more willing to go an extra mile for them.
My mimi was the one who signed it for me and brought it into my room. She was exclaiming how pretty the package was!

The contents in the box:

What interest her the most was...
Yes, the oatmeal.
So cute, they even gave a glove which I presumed was for doing the oatmeal scrub.

Initially I thought the oatmeal was included in the package because the new range contains oatmeal as part of their ingredients but it turns out to be just for the scrub.

Now, just because I mentioned a scrub, please don't automatically assume it is a face scrub. It can be used as a body scrub too!

While we can use the above home made recipe for a body scrub, did you know that there are intimate areas that need extra delicate care?

Please stop using your body soap/ wash to clean your intimate regions on your body! Different parts of your body requires a wash with different pH, that's why you don't use your body soap on your face!
Our skin is towards the acidic side but most body wash lean towards the alkali side of the scale due to their nature. Soaps that are closer to our skin's normal pH are less drying for our skin.

Our intimate area is very delicate; all the more it will require a wash with pH nearer to our skin's need. Yes, you might not know it before but now you have no excuses! I know many women can spend a lot of money on their skincare for face, but please do not neglect your intimate region!
We deserve to treat our skin with the best, therefore I will recommend the number 1 feminine hygiene wash brand, Lactacyd!

I am no stranger to this brand as I've done a review for their products before.
Prior to receiving them, I didn't know about the need to use a feminine wash that is catered just for washing our intimate region. So glad that I do now!

I'm sure some women may face problems of darkened bikini area. I know it can be a embarrassing but don't worry, you are not alone! Many women have that due to perspiration and excessive friction from tight clothing. This is more so in Singapore due to the weather here and the fashion choices of Singapore women.

Therefore, I will recommend the Latacyd White Intimate [SGD $13.90/ 250ml]

Ingredients: Purified Water, Magnesium Laureth Sulfate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glyceryl Laurate, Glycol Distearate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamide MEA, Laureth-10, Propylene Glycol, Pachyrrhizus Erosus Root Extract, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, PEG-55 Propylene Glycol Oleate, Lactoserum Atomizate (Milk Permeate Powder), Sodium PCA, 2-Phenoxyethanol, Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Hydroxyphenyl Propamidobenzoic Acid, Perfume, Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyl Trimonium Chloride, Glycerine, Ascophyllum Nodosum Extract, Lactic Acid

Some of the notable ingredients:
  • Algowhite: Marine based whitening agent, lightens by reducing melanin synthesis, exfoliates by activating the cells thereby reducing darkness, protects by inhibiting free radicals.
  • Actipone-B: Marine based whitening agent, lightens by inhibiting the production of melanin, a pigment found in skin which is the origin of skin darkness.
  • Lactoserum: Milk based moisturizing and revitalizing agent.
  • Lactic Acid: Natural, soothing, anti-itching agent.

This product is made with natural ingredients and at pH level 5.2! A test conducted on 100 Asian women between September to December 2011 shown that 67% of the women witnessed visible lightening in 4 weeks and 90% of the women witnessed visible lightening in 12 weeks.

I've only used this product for about a week, therefore the effect is not that prominent on me yet. Albeit slight, but I do observe lightening [do note that I am using this just once a day though I bathe twice a day since I alternate between this and revitalize]. Oh yes, do note that this product lightens, not whitens. Don't expect this to change your skin tone drastically with prolonged usage! Did I mention that this is the first lightening intimate wash introduced in Singapore?

Second product I want to talk about is this new youth reviving feminine wash, Revitalize. It is making its Asia debut in Singapore!

Latacyd Revitalize [SGD $13.90/ 250ml]

Ingredients: Purified Water, Magnesium Laureth Sulfate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glyceryl Laurate, Glycol Distearate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamide MEA, Laureth-10, Maltooligosyl Glucoside, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, PEG-55, Propylene Glycol Oleate, Propylene Glycol, Lactoserum Atomizate (Milk Permeate Powder), Trehalose, Sodium PCA, 2-Phenoxyethanol, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Perfume, Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Hydroxyphenyl Propamidobenzoic Acid, Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyl Trimonium Chloride, Menthyl Lactate, Lactic acid, DL-a-Tocopheryl Acetate, Menthol, Eugiena Gracilis Polysaccharide, Hydrolyed Collagen, Pisum Sativum Extract

Some notable ingredients include:
  • Vitamin E: Antioxidant qualities and destroys free radicals.
  • Collagen: An abundant protein that hydrates and help fight signs of aging.
  • Trehalose: A long lasting deodorant moisturizer with moisture-retaining capacity.
  • Lactoserum: Milk based moisturizing and revitalizing agent.
  • Lactic Aid: Natural, soothing, anti-itchy agent.

Likewise, the Lactacyd Revitalize is made with natural ingredients and at a pH level of 5.2. A product test conducted on 120 Asian women between April to June 2011 shown that 50% of the women witnessed firming effect in 4 weeks and 98% of the women witnessed moisturizing effect in 4 weeks.

The Lactacyd Revitalize contains gentle cleansing and anti-aging properties such as Vitamin E, Collagen and Trehalose (a long lasting deodorant moisturizer) - all of which will help rejuvenate skin, leaving it firm and supple. We all know drinking collagen helps our skin, therefore many facial skincare products try to include collagen. Don't forget that skin is the largest organ in our body and our intimate area is, well, also skin! I like the fact that this wash has collagen, makes me feel like I am applying skincare on top of cleansing. Though I've only used it for about a week, I do feel that my intimate region feels more moisturized! I cannot comment on the firming since my period of use is merely a week [once a day since I alternate between this and Intimate White] and have yet to observe any significant changes.

They are very reasonably priced; since they are only for use at your intimate area, only a small amount is needed each use and thus a bottle can last you for months! You can find Lactacyd products at all leading pharmacies.

Stop being lazy people; care for your body right. You will regret it in future if you don't and by then, it might be too late. [Don't think just because no one can see it so you don't have to pay much attention!]

Before I end this entry, do know that you can redeem your FREE Lactacyd samples HERE. Do remember to key in my blog url [http://missyhimeko.jugem.jp] when you redeem your sample.
P.s: You have to like Lactacyd's facebook page first!

[Sponsored] Glomax Aesthetics
Hi lovelies~
I was invited by Hazel on behalf of Glomax Aesthetics to try their services.
Thank you Hazel for being incredibly patient with me despite me rescheduling many times due to many last minute appointments of mine.
[P.S Read till the end for a special promo code!]

I like the ambience; It is not very big but feels very cosy.
I actually prefer smaller establishments as compared to those bigger ones; feels more homely.

The staffs were all very friendly and all smiles, making me feel very welcomed.

Upon arrival, I was given a very detailed and thorough consultation.
The main problem with my face is the abundant white and black heads.
Not edited, no make up, close up shot of my face with all my problems!

Basically, blackheads are very visible on the surface of our skin because when the impurities emerge, they oxidise, giving them the black colour and therefore known as blackheads.
White heads lie beneath our skin surface, therefore we cannot see them with our eyes.
We concluded the consultation with the decision to go ahead with the Intensive Acne Medic Treatment [SGD $150] for my visit  that day.
^the white/ yellowish part is the whitehead while the brownish part on the left is the blackhead.

The treament is said to be suitable for problem skin with congested pores and acne, starting with a sonic cleansing that gently lifts impurities and dirt off skin surface before the problem areas are healed with a mild antiseptic high frequency. Combined with acne IPL to rebalance the sebum level, problem skin will dramatically clear up after each session.

I was led into the treatment room to change.

I really like the set up of their room. There are 2 beds in each room but fret not; privacy is retained as there are curtains that will be drawn to give you your personal space.

The walls are pretty too! Can you spot the flowers and birds?
I was given a big cabinet with key to keep my clothes and other personal belongings.

I went without makeup, just sunblock. Okay please don't scream upon seeing this as I did not edit the picture, just watermarked it.

Before the treatment, my therapist, Peishan, did a double cleanse for my face with foam and then milk to remove the sunblock and any other dirt that might be present.
First part of the treatment - Sonic Cleansing.
This was not really painful, I just felt like something was scrapping against my skin surface. I was expecting something a little more painful but I will give it a 4/10 [my pain threshold is probably different from yours though].
Look at the amount of dirt and impurities on my skin surface!

Okay, a bit gross but have to show you the effective results!

That was just the tip of the iceberg.
Then came the extraction.

I have to be completely honest here; it hurts very very badly, nothing I've done to my face hurts this much! I will say rate the pain 8/10! I was quite shocked but I gritted my teeth and went through with the whole thing without stopping Pei shan [yes, if the pain is too much for you to take, you can always stop the therapist any time.] I thought "since I am here, just do it and give my face a good cleaning" and survived!
Look at the sneaky dirt lying beneath my skin!

Right after the extraction, this was how my face looked. [not edited]
^ Very red, swollen and bumpy.

After the extraction, they did IPL for my face which did not hurt at all. They said that I might feel a warm sensation and if I feel uncomfortable or painful I can always stop them. Pain for this will probably be... 1/10? I really didn't feel anything except for very mild warmness. The IPL was done to kill any bacteria and rebalance the sebum level in my skin.
I was quite worried after the extraction because my face looked terrible!
Putting my worries aside, I allowed them to proceed with the next step of the treatment - mask time.

I can't remember what mask mine was but Peishan told me that the mask they do for their customers can differ from one another as they are chosen according to everyone's needs. The mask felt quite good on my skin as it was cold, very soothing for my very raw feeling skin after the extraction.

After the mask, my skin looked a lot less angry!

The redness and bumpiness went down completely in about 2 days.
I'm terribly forgetful to take my after shots but I was really wow-ed by my experience there!
After the bumps and redness went away, I took a good look at my skin and it looked so much cleaner! Many tiny bumps were gone and black heads on my nose were completely cleared.
I am honestly considering to go back again for another treatment to continue purging and maintain my skin.
It really feels super good to see all that disgusting dirt being purged and my skin looking a lot cleaner.

Oh yes, they sell the products they use for you too!
I did spot make up there too~

A familiar product I saw that day - Revitalash [eyelash serum]

Did I mention their tea tasted really good?

Here's a treat just for my readers:

Quote "Himeko Blog" and you can enjoy the above treatment for just SGD $68 instead of the usual SGD $150!
That's about a 55% discount! I wish I can quote this for my second treatment but... this code is for you guys only~

[Sponsored] My Brazilian experience with Wax XXX at the Beauty Affairs
I went for another Brazilian waxing last week!

Read till the end for exclusive promotion by Beauty Affairs for their Wax XXX and a special promotion code for my readers [Male and female can both use it!]

I am no stranger to Brazilian waxing and I must say it is really very addictive once you get past the virgin experience.
This time, I was invited to do waxing at Beauty Affairs.

This place is not difficult to find. Guys who are drag along to accompany your girlfriends, don't frown because you can enjoy the tasty food at the Killiney Kopitiam next to Beauty Affairs while waiting.

I chose to do Brazilian waxing with them.
I was allowed to do other areas too, but my hands and legs don't really have hair to be waxed so I only requested for Brazilian.
Apart from Waxing services, they do Facial and Slimming services too.

Beauty Affairs has been around since 1989 - that's more than 20 years now!
The turn over for this line can be quite high and thus to be to withstand the test of time and last 22 years (and counting) is pretty reassuring.

Time to my waxing!

The products they use are on sale here too.

I have a thing for chandeliers.

Though this place is not very big, it is very cosy.

I went over with TTJ & Aki and we let Aki go first because it's her virgin experience.
Had a great time chatting with Catherine & TTJ while waiting.

Finally my turn!
This is how the treatment bed look like.
The G string on the bed is for me to change into.

Though I opted for Brazilian, they gave me an option of starting off with Bikini waxing first and then decide if I want to proceed further with Brazilian.
Since I did Brazilian before, I don't really have the Bikini line so I went straight to Brazilian.

The waxes they use are from Wax XXX!

Wax xxx stands for:
Xtra Strong - This strong wax made from rosin glides into the hairs and onto the skin, giving the firm grip and a clean lift to remove all hairs.
Xtra Smooth - The lanolin in the wax protexts the skin after the lift off, leaving the skin supple and smooth
Xtra Soft - with wax triple X, the re-growth is softer and lesser, usually between 4-6 weeks.

Three types of wax available:
Perfect Scent [Suitable for use on sensitive area/ skin]

Perfect Pink & Perfect Blue [Recommended for use on short coarse hair & ingrown hair and long hair respectively]

My therapist was very friendly and chatted with me throughout the whole experience. I was not very nervous since I've done it before. My therapist was lecturing me and forbade me to do any shaving in future because it will actually make the re-growth coarser. Did you know that shaving can also cause ingrown hair? In some cases, if you do not clean yourself well, these ingrown hair can actually cause infection and... just think about pus forming at your very intimate area; disgusting! Girls please don't do things like that to yourself! Long term waxing will leave new hair that grows out to be finer. My therapist shared with me that her hair around her V area is actually "one patch here and there" because most of the hair are so fine/ some areas don't even grow any more.

I mentioned before that Brazilian waxing is not very painful, it is actually all in the mindset. Compared to my last Brazilian waxing, this was a little more painful as I did shave out of convenience once. Regret, as my hair became coarser and tougher so I am not going to do that any more! My therapist told me that reason is because my menstruation just ended 2 days before my waxing, thus my skin is still very sensitive. Yes, skin will be more sensitive 1 week before and after menstruation so do book your appointments wisely!
Though slightly more painful, it is still very bearable.

It is never too late to start going for waxing!
You might want to shave for convenience but some pennies cannot be pinched; leave it to the professionals!

Overall, I had a very pleasant and relaxing session there.
At the end, they still gave me a goodies' bag!

There were 4 products inside:

1. UV Hydro White (Body Milk) [SGD $58/125ml]

2. Rose Extract Body Scrub [SGD $62/200ml]

3. WaxXXX Hair Retard Mousse [SGD $64/200ml]

4. WaxXXX Anti Ingrown Hair Lotion [SGD $58/120ml]

Before I go into a few reviews...
Yes, I still have a few more review posts coming up.
Before you accuse me of only blogging when I have product reviews to share, I shall bribe you with my handsome Hikaru.

Hikaru is changing coat very slowly so he is not very handsome!
I still love him, hurhurhur.
Most important thing is that he gets healthier soon!
I have no idea why but he knows he must pee at the pee tray yet he likes to sleep with his upper half of the body on the pee tray and the lower half on his mattress -_-
Super annoying because he is like lying on his pee!

Since most of my pictures were taken for sponsored post, I don't have much "spare" shots.
Have I shared some of my old drawings from my Polytechnic days yet?
Okay, I will just throw them in.

Back when I was still into Kpop and 2pm.

Wooyoung [still my favourite!]

Nichkhun

Taec

When Jaebum was already out of 2PM, but the fans still did a chibi version of him if he were in.

I drew this before I quitted my job at Build a bear workshop.

Don't know why I drew this.

This was done during my intern-ship at my workplace, lol.

This too... Okay so I drew and slacked during my intern-ship but I still managed to become the first student (in their history) sent to the company to receive an "A" so don't judge me! Quality and action speaks louder okay!

I think this was done during the 3rd year in Poly.

I think I drew these because the day before I was watching some anime with lotsa cakes... Maybe it was Antique Bakery? [Yes, that's yaoi.]

Okay can, abrupt ending for you.

[Sponsored] Acnes Medicated Skincare
Battling with pimple problems?
[Especially you people going through puberty!]

Revisiting this brand that I've just did a review on not long ago!

There are quite a few entries on Acnes Medicated products by Mentholatum here at my blog.

Acnes Medicated Creamy Wash [SGD $6.90]
I've received the creamy wash from them for the second time back in late June and did a review for it in July (First time was last year).
From July to now, it has only been a month so I believe I do not need to reassess this product for you~ My opinion of it hasn't changed. I do recommend it for people with oily skin since it helps to control my oil without over-drying my skin, not to forget it does not have any negative reaction with my skin.

A product you will need if you are currently going through puberty...

Sealing Jell for your pimples! [SGD $8.90]
Okay fine, not just for those under going puberty but just saying you will probably get lots of outbreaks due to hormone changes and you definitely should get one of this since it is very affordable.
Well, it is not limited to just them; we go through the annoying acne problems period between 15-25 years old.
Once you feel a pimple coming, apply some of this!

This product gets absorbed fairly quick [I apply a bit of pressure on the spot that needs this for about 10 seconds] and is easy to handle.
Say goodbye to your pimples fast!

One of the plus point I have to mention is that they are so affordable.
I know many students might want to scrimp and save for other luxury items [that is, if you have a backbone and know not to stretch your hands out and ask money from parents blatantly], but do not neglect your face! You will come to realise your face is going to be a HUGE asset. Stretch your dollar with these effective yet affordable products.
^ can be found in Watsons Islandwide.

For reading till the end, I shall let you in on a piece of information;
Redeem your free sample from Acnes Medicated HERE.

Re-arranging my room
I wanted to redo my hair today but I ended up shopping for some pet supplies after tuitions and late lunch with KM, then fell asleep till dinner time. After dinner time, it was too late to do the dye [more like I'm kinda lazy too] so I decided to pack my room instead!
Biggest problems:
My two bags are left in the open, can no longer do that because I intend to put the puppy cage in my room. [Okay, this is not dog abuse. I am not 100% comfortable with the idea of caging it up either but I have no choice since there are kids around, can be dangerous both ways and I will not be home very often this 2 weeks due to my tutees' exams]

I've been debating with myself whether I should put the cage in my living room or kitchen [I intend to make the puppy's toilet in either the front of my living room or kitchen] but eventually decided to go with my room instead.
Reason being, since Hikaru will have to stay in the cage when I'm not home [which will happen quite a bit at the start since it is not potty trained, can't let it out unless I am around to clean up after it], putting the cage in the living room is a little dangerous [the little kids... I'm afraid they might give the puppy food that they are eating and they do eat sweets and chocolate a lot]
So when I let it out, I expect it to be pretty hyper due to being cooped up for a long time. Last thing I want is for it to destroy the bags that my dad bought for me.
But problem?

NO SPACE!
[forgot to take the bottom compartment of my 2 cupboards as well as the 2 columns shown, omg pea brain]

I had no choice but to take everything from the shelves at the left column out and threw away like 7 bags [some were only used twice or thrice too... but I really need the space yet cannot be bothered to sell and not comfortable with giving away used things to people].
Threw away a bunch of stuff that I kept because of the memories that cames with them but some just weren't worth it.
Anyway, finally done after 2 hours!

Re-arranged my hair styling stuff to my first cupboard's bottom shelf since I always sit around there when I style my hair~
Makeup pouches on the left, other bags that survived the clearance on the right.

Threw away a bunch of hair products already but still so much left!

My winter coats, Uggs, winter glove & Yukata on the top shelf.

Top right compartment:
Important documents, old popteen magazines, craft materials, pretty carriers to use to pack items when I TAQBIN/ meet spree-ers, big plastic bags for the dustbin in my room, my deco materials and the boxes for my wallets.

Re-arranged my perfumes but don't have the ideal place to put so they ended up here with my make up...

Moved my Wigs on top, hats on the 2nd shelf, my LV bags on the 3rd, beanies and scarf on the 4th. Damn annoyed cos I can't put my beanies [also hats what!] on the 3rd shelf... the 4th damn shelf is a little shorter in height than the 3rd shelf so my Amarante Alma MM CANNOT FIT IN. *Insert annoyed monkey face* Okay, OCD acting up.

Managed to clear the bottom right column's shelf! This compartment is for Hikaru's clothes and dog carrier [slated to arrive in 2 weeks]. Yes, I'm already picturing myself pampering my dog like mad.

This box that my bro bought for me quite long ago finally has a good use!
Putting all the other dog products here; shampoo, conditioner, deodorant spray, perfume, pet comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, dog food, dog treats, pee pads and pet wet wipes!

^I bought all these for $100+!
Dog products are SO MOTHER EXPENSIVE! *Insert annoyed face*
I spend more on products for Hikaru than myself; I cannot see myself buying a $30 shampoo (500ml) for myself -_-

Dammit, pet shop owners, PITY POOR KID LIKE ME WHO WANTS A DOG TOO CAN?

Okay, abrupt end for you.
3 more days till Hikaru comes home with me (:

Pastel Pink x Lilac Ombré brown hair
SO, I'm going to let the pictures talk.
I used La Riche Directions [bought and shipped from United Kingdom].

As you can see, I bought way too much. Only used about 3/5 tub for both pink and purple. I'm selling the remaining 2 brand new tubs of Pastel Pink and Lilac La Riche Directions Semi Permanent Hair Dye/ Colour at SGD $20.
If you have short to shoulder length hair, 1 tub will be enough. However, to play safe, I will rather you buy 2 tubs for shoulder length in case you don't do a job good enough, at least you can still touch up.
Also, what's awesome about this brand is that the dye does not damage, but conditions your hair instead (:

Pastel Pink

Lilac

I used their La Riche Directions Hair Lightening Kit first [Also selling the extra box at SGD $25, can use for shoulder long hair]

What each pack contains

Even the hair cap, mixing brush and gloves too!

First, wash my hair thoroughly.

Blow dry

How my hair look before bleaching.

Pour the powder from the sachet

Add the Cream Peroxide

Quite a lot!

Should have this much when you are done pouring from the bottle.

Mix mix mix, don't worry if you have lumps like this~

Look how pale my hair is turning!

After rinsing and drying again, bleached hair is done.

Time for colour dye. [Purple first]

Clearly after I've done my pink as well, my whole head will be wrapped with foil like that so I did not bother to take another picture.
After about an hour of sitting like this [mad itchy when the foil kept rubbing against my collar bone area], went to rinse and here's the final result.

Not very well done, but I've been advised to leave the dye on longer the next time. Thanks for the suggestion, will try that!
Just a quick entry anyway, haven't done a weird colour in a long time so thought of blogging this out quick and also to people who are interested in trying to achieve pastel colour hair by themselves.
Remember, I am selling 2 tubs of La Riche Directions Semi Permanent Conditioning Hair Colour in Pastel Pink & 2 tubs in Lilac [SGD $20/tub] as well as their Hair Lightening Kit [SGD $25].
Drop me an email at mizuki.himeko@yahoo.com.sg if you are interested in purchasing.
