I have a perfectly good reason this time. I am REALLY studying. Been studying for the past few days at mcdonnies! (trust me, more expensive than Starbucks) I wonder why I dress up so nice, since I'm just sitting down looking at papers.
been so long since I did otona style so here it is! I'm so addicted to my short blonde wig, lol.
back to hitting the papers!
sorry but short entry is still an entry, right? blogging from phone to let you guys know that... I'm still alive, stay right where you are. Don't leave meeee!
You have already seen my review for this product [in brown] and how I
absolutely loved it the very first time I used it.
Now, I will be sharing another review of it, this time it is in black!
The super fine tip
Precision, no faltering.
BAM!
MSH Love Liner in Black
「エム・エス・エイチ ラブライナー ブラック」:
Manufacturing Country: Japan
Product Weight : 0.55ml
Product Ingredients: TO BE AVAILABLE
Product Type: Liquid
Packaging: 10/10 - I simply L-O-V-E the packaging. Too classy.
Pigmentation: 9/10 - I'm definitely impressed by how dark the black is, coming
from a tip that fine.
Texture: 10/10 - Ultra Smooth! Glides like a snake(笑)
Ease of Application: 10/10 - Definitely the best eyeliner I've used thus far when it comes to texture/ flow, high precision and control of brush!
Lasting Power: 9.5/10 - It stayed over 12 hours, 'nuff said.
Availability: 4/10 - While it is not being sold offline anywhere in
Singapore [or at least, I have yet to see it in retail stores], BlingAlways has it! They are selling it for just SGD $24.90. In Japan itself, it cost about SGD $27 excluding shipping! This is a SUPER BARGAIN PLEASE!
Price: 9/10 - It is even cheaper than buying in Japan and for the quality,
I don't mind paying more! [A TINY bit more expensive than most drug store eye liners in Singapore]
Repurchase:YES. I cannot live without my MSH love liners ever since I first
laid my hands on them. MSH still the undefeated as my holy grail eye liner!
Overall Rating: 9.8/10
Trust me, the only down side is the availability problem.
Yes, I'm grumbling at the start because I had to redo this WHOLE review PLUS
ingredient translations.
Diamond Blush in Number 3, Honey Orange
ダイアモンドビュティ チークカラー 03: ハニーオレンジ
See how pretty it is off pan!
This swatch was taken about a year ago? The colour in the middle
Without further ado, let's jump in straight.
Diamond Beauty Cheek Color in Number 3, Honey Orange 「ダイアモンドビュティ チークカラー 03: ハニーオレンジ」
Product Weight : 6g
Product Ingredients: Talc, Mica, Iron Oxide, Red 226, -Sorry I will re-translate
the ingredients again when I have time, currently busy with studying for my
prelims-
Blush type: Shimmer
Packaging: 7/10 - I felt that Sho-bi could have done a better job at packaging.
Sure, the transparent packaing is really pretty but it is also tad bit heavier than
other brands and with just the word smacked across the top [well, there is a
little diamonte at the "I"], it is something many will over look.
Pigmentation: 9/10 - The color looks just like the photos; rich and pigmented.
I thought it might look a tad bit dark but when I brushed it over my cheeks, but it came out look fabulous!
Texture: 8/10- Smooth but slightly more fallout when brushed compared to
candy doll. I'm guessing it is not pressed as tightly? Not a biggie since I use
a blush brush anyway.
Blendability : 8.5/10- It blends with my foundation easily, does not make me
look like there are 2 ovals of blush slapped on my cheeks. I can easily lighten
the colour by blending it out.
Lasting Power: 8/10- I always wear this blush when I go clubbing [because
it suits my eye make-up best] and by the time I get home, I can still detect slight colour on my cheeks. That is about 7 hours?
Availability: 2/10- I bought it long ago, shipping it over myself from Japan.
I am not doing preorders for it as of now too so I really don't know where else
can you get it besides shipping it at an exorbitant price.
Price: 8/10 - I think I paid about $21 after shipping. Can't really remember
because I bought it so long ago!
Repurchase: Yes. It's so versatile, I use it at least once to twice a week!
Overall Rating: 8.5/10
I was very reluctant to do this review because I had actually translated
EVERY single ingredient from katakana and kanji to english... Painstakingly
typed them out only to get everything(including the review) deleted when I published it due to unknown reason. Nonetheless... I really like this product
and it is one of my holy grail so I sat down and redid the whole thing.
MSH, my favourite eye liner brand. I've reviewed for this line before in green [click here] Guess what? Out of the many things I've received from BlingAlways 3 days ago, amongst them were these!
Today, I'm reviewing one of the 2 limited edition colours, Champagne Silver!
That little sticker on the product is to remind [and warn] you that this little pencil-like packaging which house the clever "stick design" gel liner can only be turned ONE WAY
So ladies, turn how much you NEED as there is no turning back [no pun intended]
I'm not 100% sure if it has been discontinued but I do advise whose who want it/ procrastinating since forever about it to quickly grab it before it's completely gone from the market.
With that, I will go into the review proper! I had this item for super long but can't seem to do a proper look with it so I
decided to try it out along with this new short hair look and see how it goes.
In case you don't remember...
I've done reviews for every other palette except this!
So here I am, closing up this series with the final palette's verdict.
Product shots for you!
Close Up [True to picture]
I was skeptical about the color combination, being able to pull off for a wearable look or not. While it is not exactly something you can wear to work, it really gives the "country
girl" look.
-Swatch to be inserted here-
The extremely enticing packaging
I'm sure some people don't see themselves using these colours yet buy it anyway.
Like the other 3 palettes, this one also comes with a step by step illustration to teach
you how to use the colours. Not the only way but if you want to stay safe since these are colours not often used, you can follow it!
Don't have to know Japanese to understand it.
Shan't keep you waiting any further!
Dolly Wink Eye Shadow Palette Number 3 in Blue/ Orange [Country Retro]「ドーリーウインクアイシャドウ03ブルーオレンジ」:
Product Weight : Not stated [I suppose 2.5g/ 3g]
Product Ingredients: Talc, Dimethicone, Nylon-12, Isostearic Acid, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Boron Nitride, Palm Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Aloe Vera Leaf Extract, Methylparaben, Tocopherol, (+/-) Iron Oxide, Mica, Titanium Oxide, Silica, Perfluorooctyl Triethoxysilane, Synthetic Phlogopite, Borosilicate (Ca/Al), Tin Oxide, Titanate (Li/Co), Aluminium Hydroxide, Gunjou (?), Red 226, Red 202, Green 404, Yellow 205
Product Type: Matte
Packaging: 8/10 - The black round casing is small and compact, thus easy to bring around and hard to get dirty. I really love the little heart shaped window
on the top lid, allowing the colours to peek out! Simple yet classy. I might have given it a 9.5 or even 10 if a little mirror was included somewhere.
Pigmentation: 7/10 - I think Dolly Wink shadows should be used with an applicator instead of brush because they are a lot more pigmented that way.
When I use the brush, they always come off a lot lighter than what they look. That aside, when I use an applicator, the color gets picked up pretty well and
looks rich. Color payoff is decent in just one swipe. [refer to swatch]
Texture: 8.5/10 - Smooth! The powder packed is really fine and smooth, zero fallouts.
Blendability : 8/10 - It blends easily and nicely. I did not face any problem in blending and ensuring a smooth transition from one colour to another at all!
Lasting Power: 9/10 - I'm not sure how well it will hold up without a primer
though, as I always use a primer when using eye shadows. Primers are
supposed to enchance and keep the color on your lids for long hours so I
guess this rating is pretty much expected.
Availability: 8/10 - While it is being sold in Watsons for a whooping SGD $32.90, I will recommend buying from BlingAlways as they are only selling it for SGD $25.90, an astonishing 21% cheaper than Watsons! All you have to do is just wait for perhaps 2 weeks or so? You save SGD $7 for a palette, that's really a lot!
Price: 8.5/10 - If you are buying from BlingAlways, I will say it's a 8.5/10 but if you are talking about Watsons, I will only give it a 3/10. Personally, I will NOT pay a whooping SGD $32.90 for a palette with just 4 colours. Nope, not even Tsubasa can make me do it. But if you purchase it from BlingAlways for only SGD $25.90, it is totally worth it as many of the other drug store brand palettes also cost around SGD $20 - SGD $25, not to mention this palettes has a much cuter/ to die for packaging!
Repurchase: Yes. It is not very expensive when purchased from BlingAlways, easy to bring around since it's compact, and it's endorsed by Tsu-chan.... *Popteen/ Popsister Model released product sucker* Also, I'm actually
considering to buy 1 to keep as spare since it is probably discontinued!
Overall Rating: 7/10
I HIGHLY recommend Dolly wink lovers x Japan make up lovers x Tsu-chan
lovers to grab this! If you procrastinate any longer, it might be gone forever!
Remember to quote "Love Himeko" when you purchase from BlingAlways to get free local postage!
I know there are some people waiting for this. Sorry it took so damn long! I finally got my ass down and determined to churn this review up no matter what!
So what am I referring to?
Can't see the product clearly? Here's a huge shot that you absolutely cannot miss.
That's right! Candy Doll Mineral Powder [Purple Packaging] I have to say, definitely a WAY overdue review and there are probably a gazillion out there by now but... I still have to share~
First started using it some time last year, I think I bought this myself?
Anyway, I have to complement on how fine the powder is!
Here we go~
Candy Doll Mineral Face Powder 「キャンディドール フェイスパウダー」:
Product Weight : 10g
Product Ingredients: Talc, Synthetic Phlogopite, (HDI/ Trimethylol Hexyl Lactone) cross Polymer, (Dimethicone/ Methicone) copolymer, Silica, Ca Carbonate, Iron Oxide, Coconut Oil, Aloe Vera Leaf Extract
Product type: Loose Powder
Scent: 0/10- I really cannot detect any scent at all.
Packaging: 7.5/10 - It is pretty much a standard sized tub for loose powder; compartment for powder and face puff separated by the sieve. One of the reasons I don't really fancy bringing loose powder around is because of the bulk it packs; compared to face/pressed powder, it is usually about 30- 50% thicker. I do, however, love the black and white stripes with purple printed words.
Coverage: 3.5/10 - This is a loose powder, what coverage were you expecting from it? I do wear this on top of just sunblock on better skin days though, to act like I have no make up on and yet still very good skin(笑)
Texture: 9/10- Smooth, fine and extremely lightweight.
Blendability : 9/10- It blends with and sets my foundation extremely well. It does not make my foundation look cakey, giving it a very natural finish.
Lasting Power: 8/10- I don't touch up when I leave house and my foundation usually last over 10 hours with this.
Availability: 8.5/10-
It is retailing in Watsons Singapore and I'm sure you have a Watsons near you! You can also get this item online from BlingAlways!
Price: 7/10- I believe it is retailing in Watsons at $33.90 each. Yes, a tad bit pricier than normal loose powder [Candy doll items are not included in Watsons members sale) but look, it's made in Japan! That statement itself makes me more willing to pay more [and the cute packaging, of course.]
Repurchase: Yes. I really loved the texture [fine-ness] of the powder and the cute packaging [not to forget, TSU-CHAN!] so a definite repurchase for me. Overall Rating: 8.75/10
All in all, I really liked the product. The only setback is that portability [I know that no matter how much more bulk it packs, it is not that difficult to carry it in your make-up bag but still, I have to compare it fairly with competing products] and the price.
