The reason
Why I haven't been blogging slices of life post is because my skin is so bad now
and I look so ugly so I don't even feel like bringing my camera out to take pictures.

So I was going to do a review today, but as some [or many?] of you might know,
2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards is showing today [in fact, I am watching it nao!]

So... keep getting distracted and losing my train of thought.
Challenge denied.

I shall just post some pictures that I have from the other day.

My facebook welcome page pic~ Random much.

I wanted to use this and post "Y U NO LIKE MY PAGE" but then I realised my
hand was pointing the wrong place... Can always flip it but OCD.

Act pretty.

Miss this hair color cause mine faded ):

Peek-a-boo~

Okay, I'm going to my brother's room to watch MAMA 2011 nao!

[Sponsored] MSH Love Liner in Brown 「エム・エス・エイチ ラブライナー ブラウン」Review
Does this photo look familiar?

That's right, previously I used some photos taken from this set to talk about
the MSH Eyescream Gel Liner which I absolutely adored~

This time, I will also be talking about another product from MSH~
That's right, it's their very popular Love Liner!
[Featured in many Japanese magazines; Popteen, Popsister, Vivi, Edge Style
just to name a few]

External Packaging

Upon opening the pretty box~

Close up on the Love Liner itself
Super duper pretty でしょ?!

I usually tight line, thus it is pretty hard to see from these pictures...

To top it off, I picked the one in brown too ^^;;

Therefore, I decided to use the back of my hand to show you guys the swatch!

See the precision!

Now for my visual easy rating!

MSH Love Liner in Brown
「エム・エス・エイチ  ラブライナー ブラウン」:

Product Weight : 0.55ml

Product Ingredients: Not stated

Product Type: Liquid

Packaging: 10/10 - That's right! 10/10 for MSH again! Not that I am biased
but the design is just TO DIE FOR! So sleek and classy, 超好きだ!

Pigmentation: 7.5/10 - As what I've mentioned before, this rating is so
because the colour is light, not that it does not perform well. Definitely build-
able.

Texture: 10/10 - Ultra Smooth! Glides like a snake (笑)

Ease of Application: 10/10 - Definitely the best eyeliner I've used thus far
when it comes to texture/ flow, high precision and control of brush!

Lasting Power: 9/10 - It stayed that way for over 8 hours. Given the light
color, I definitely wasn't expecting to see it on my cotton pad when I remove
my makeup at the end of the day~ My, was I surprised!

Availability: 6.5/10 - While it is not being sold offline anywhere in
Singapore [or at least, I have yet to see it in retail stores], BlingAlways has it!
They are selling it for just SGD $24.90. In Japan itself, it cost about SGD $27
excluding shipping
! This is a SUPER BARGAIN PLEASE!

Price: 9.5/10 - It is even cheaper than buying in Japan. *insert bitch, please
meme*
Besides, it is also the price of drug store eye liners [in Singapore,
that is.]

Repurchase: YES. I have ALWAYS wanted one! Always seeing it in magazines
really made me wonder about it A LOT! Not to mention, the packaging is really
TO DIE FOR! I am extremely impressed with this upon my first application!
Definitely my holy grail eye liner!

Overall Rating: 9.75/10

I think you can tell from the review how happy I am with the product. Try it,
Remember to quote "Love Himeko" for your free postage!

[Sponsored] Eucerin Dermo Purifyer Skincare Review
Hi guys~
Firstly, this is a super delayed post!
Sorry to everyone for the delay ):
Also, you will not be seeing "before" and "after" photos like the past few
skincare reviews because I forgot to take pictures after I used it and then my
sudden crazy breakout occurred...
I don't think I want to gross people out with pictures of my face now ):
I have at least over 15 pimples all over my face now *hides in hole*
So yes, hope you will understand!
Should my skin improve, I will edit and add in proper pictures then let you guys
know in future! [Hopefully T.T]

Okay, now for the post proper~
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have been reading my blog for a long time, you might remember this post
I did last year for Eucerin over HERE.

This year, I got products from them again! *happy*
Best part, they are from the DermoPurifyer range which I really loved since I
did the review last year! [I am still using their cleanser now!]
However, instead of products towards cleansing, they sent me products
towards skincare this time [via thesamplestore as always of course!]
I like how they are all Non-comedogenic!

Introducing 3 New Products~

Firstly, we have the Dermo Purifyer Hydrating Care [SGD $25.90/50ml]

Jang jang~

Product shot:

My Verdict:
Dermo Purifyer Hydrating Care Review:

Product Weight : 50ml

Product Ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Tapioca Starch, Alcohol Denat., Cetearyl
Alcohol, Carnitine, Octyldodecanol, Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Glycyrrhiza
Inflata Root Extract, Decylene Glycol, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Stearoyl
Glutamate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Phenoxyethanol

Product Type: Creme

Packaging: 7/10 - While it is in a pump bottle form which I like, I have to say
that it is slightly harder to pump and I do have to pump with care or else
I will dispense too much. I do give credit for its go at keeping the application
process sanitary. Another plus point is that the bottle is pretty small, making
it easy to dispense with just one hand holding & pumping the product.

Scent: 8/10 - Given that the packaging wrote "fragrance free", there was
still a strong whiff upon dispensing, not exactly very pleasant; alcohol smell
was pretty strong.

Rate of Absorption: 9/10 - Given the consistency of the product, I was quite
surprised that it took under 2 minutes to be fully absorbed by my skin!

Product Efficiency: 9/10 - I used it together with the other 2 products sent. As
I've said, I am currency having terrible breakouts. After just 1 day of use, my
breakouts look less irritated, redness going down; all while not compromising
the hydration of my skin. Love what it has done for me!

Texture: 8/10 - Very smooth and easy to work with.

Ease of Use: 9/10 - The consistency makes the product easy to handle and
I like how small the bottle is, very easy to hold and toss into your luggage.

Availability: 9.5/10 - It is available almost everywhere! Hospital pharmacies,
Watsons, Guardian, Unity, National Skin Centre and other leading pharmacies!

Price: 8/10 - I have to say, the price will definitely cause first time users to be
a little hesitant but for me who have used it before, definitely worth the money!

Repurchase: Yes. I do not actually have a product in my regime which serve
as a moisturizer ^^ I think this works that way quite well~

Overall Rating: 9/10
^I had to take points off for the scent!

Next, we have the Dermo Purifyer Active Night Care [SGD $25.90/ 50ml]

Packaging looks like the Creme Gel that I got last year~

Product Shot:

My Verdict:
Dermo Purifyer Active Night Care Review:

Product Weight : 50ml

Product Ingredients: Aqua, Cyclomethicone, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose
Distearate, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Stearate, Lactic Acid, Panthenol,
PEG-150 Distearate, Bisabolol, Serine, Glycine, Lecithin, Alanine, Xanthan Gum,
Trisodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Parfum, CI 77891

Product Type: Creme

Packaging: 9/10 - This is packaged in a tube form, which I really like too
besides the pump bottles as it gives me great control on the amount of
product I can dispense and very sanitary too. Tube is of a size suitable for my
hands.

Scent: 6.5/10 - There is a scent but pretty mild.

Rate of absorption: 9/10 - Despite being creme-type, it gets absorbed
surprisingly fast~ Under 2 minutes, probably near 1.5 minutes and it is all
absorbed.

Product Efficiency: 9/10 - I used it together with the other 2 products, and
together, they helped to soothe my current irritated skin condition. Super
love!

Texture: 8/10 - Smooth [obviously... it's CREME!], easy to work with.

Ease of Use: 9/10 - Can be handled with one hand and application process
is easy and sanitary.

I can see myself buying it, maybe not right after this tube
finishes [I have too many skincare products waiting to expire in my cupboard]
but definitely WILL revisit it when I cleared my stash a little [so I feel less
guilty about buy skincare product ^^;;]

Overall Rating: 9/10

Last but not least, the Dermo Purifyer Active Concentrate [SGD $29.90/30ml]

I had to remind myself to take extra care because of the glass packaging~
Clumsy girl here ^^;;

Product shot

My Verdict:
Dermo Purifyer Active Concentrate Review:

Product Weight : 30ml

Product Ingredients: Aqua, Cyclomethicone, Glycerin, Tapioca Starch,
Methylpropanediol, Lactic Acid, Decylene Glycol, Dimethiconol, Sodium Chloride,
Xanthan Gum, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Parfum

Product Type: Concentrate, fairly viscous.

Packaging: 8/10 - Pump bottle! compared to that of the Hydrating Care, this
is much easier to control. Took about 1.5 - 2 pumps to dispense enough
product for my whole face. However, I took points off as it is packaged in a
glass bottle. Clumsy girl here!

Scent: 6/10 - Very mild, I don't know how to describe the scent but since I've
used Eucerin products before, I'm not repelled by it.

Rate of Absorption: 9/10 - Everything got absorbed under 2 minutes, like the
other 2 products above! I was expecting a viscous concentrate to take longer
to absorb, seeing that it is labelled as a "concentrate" ^^;; Guess I was
visually tricked by the word eh.

Product Efficency: 9/10 - I have used this with the other 2 products and my
skin tamed down a lot. No new breakouts, just old ones being less irritated.
LOVE IT.

Texture: 7/10 - Looks thick from the bottle but it is actually quite flow-y,
just slightly viscous. I suggest to pump this onto your palm else it might drip
if you use the back of your hand.

Ease of Use: 7.5/10 - Due to it's nature, be careful not to drip it ^^;;
However, it is still very easy to use and apply.

Availability: 9.5/10 - It is available almost everywhere! Hospital pharmacies,
Watsons, Guardian, Unity, National Skin Centre and other leading pharmacies!

Price: 8.5/10 - I thought that this price for concentrate is really a good
bargain!

Repurchase: Yes. I don't usually use concentrate/ serums but this one is
super fast absorbing and not too pricey!

Overall Rating: 8.5/10

Did I redeem myself again~? ^^ That was review for 3 products in one post!
Forgive me for the MIA-ness please! :3
I'm working hard to get the momentum back, trust me!

Giveaway 2!
Well, I set aside these for the longest time...
Just didn't feel like posting it >.>
Don't ask me why ^^;;

Anyway, I have quite a number of items for the giveaway this time~
However, I decided to split the items up into different categories so that I can
get more winners this time instead of just one.
Lesser disappointment [I hope!]

Let me explain a little how this works before I show you the items!

Sequence of priority in choosing the items as follows:
Top Most Likes -> Second Most Likes -> Favourite Comment
For each winner of the "most likes" [Top 2] and "Favourite Comment"

1. You can choose 1 item from BOTH Group A and B.
2. For group C, 2 mask will be given to each winner randomly.
3. "Top Like" will get an extra 4th item, which is the Maybelline Lipstick below:

Since it is brand new and unopened, I have no swatch to show you.
You can try to google the shade ^^

Now for the items:

Group A

Group B

Group C

Therefore, an example of how the prize might look like for the "Top Likes":

Or

BUT WAIT!
Of course, I have not forgotten about others who might not be very confident
in the "likes" and "favourite comment" term, so...

The sets below will be up for random generation:

Set D

Set E

For both Set D and E, each set will come with a clutch as shown below:

It's pretty big, can fit my ipad 2~

There~ So in conclusion, there will be 5 winners in total!
Anyone who did not win the Top likes or favourite comment will
automatically be enrolled into the Random Generation list.

I thought if I gave just 1 person everything, it will be kinda heavy and
disappointing for many ^^;; Hope you guys can understand~!
Also, I do have an extra 3rd clutch so if any winner wishes to try any of their
item from Group A or B for it, you can feel free to :3

Here comes the participation rule:

1. You must "Like" my Facebook Page HERE
2. Leave a comment on my page wall answering the following question:
Which blog post of mine thus far is your favourite and what genre do you like
to read in my blog the most? [E.g. Makeup review, Eyelash, Video, Food Reviews,
etc]
3. "Share" the comment that you posted on my wall, with any kind of heading
you like~ [E.g. "Do check out Himeko's Giveaway and vote for my comment!]
4. Get your friends to "Like" my page and vote for you!

Terms from previous giveaway will also apply here, meaning:
1. Each "Like" from your friend will give you an extra chance in the giveaway
for random generator in case you fail to make it for the top 2 "likes" and
favourite comment.
2. Each blog post sharing my giveaway will give you 10 extra chances.
3. Each tweet will give you 5 extra chances.

Which means, if you have 65 likes for your comment and shared it on your
blog & twitter, your name will appear on my list for 81 times [the extra 1
chance is the default given for all that participates]
This time, I will not spread the name out on the excel sheet because I don't
actually see a point in doing so since it is a random generator afterall ^^;;

Leave me a comment should anything be unclear!
And yes, like the previous giveaway, This is open WORLDWIDE.

Contest will close on the 13th December, 2359 (:

New hair colour~ F-yeah!

More to come in future *cough, filler post, cough*

For the top part of my hair, I did base ash brown with purple tones [not highlight]

I'm sorry...
For not updating.
Some of you may or may not know, my grandma passed away last week.
So after all the scheduled posts I did till wednesday, I really didn't have
time to blog AT ALL.
Firstly, all the funeral affairs only got settled [not even everything is settled as
of now...] on SUNDAY.

Then, when Monday came, I had to crash this and that lecture to catch up with
my school work since the week before my grandma passed away, I was down
with fever and missed school too.
That's 2 weeks in a row, 6 hour lectures missed for each module.

STRESSEd TO THE MAX.

Gimme a bit more time, okay?
I am finally dying my hair tomorrow!
Promise I will let you guys see it by tomorrow night :3
I am damn excited too yo!

[Sponsored] Unfurgivable, No Better Reason To Strip!; Join the Anti-Fur Movement with Strip
I was debating if I should classify this under "advert" or "event" and decided on
the latter because the main idea of this is to promote what the campaign is
about and how it is actually for a good cause.
So what exactly is this Anti-fur movement about?
If you looked close enough, you will see that this is actually a campaign in which
Strip: Ministry of Waxing tied up with PETA to promote the Anti-fur movement.

PETA stands for "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals", a non profit
American Animal Rights Corporation .

Here in Singapore, it is not a common sight to see people donning fur due to the
all year round hot climate. Thus came this very interesting and bold idea of starting
with ourselves when it comes to fur; that's right, "fur" on our body.

From now till the end of December, enjoy your Brazilian Wax at just SGD $40
instead of the usual SGD $58!
On top of the offer, for every Brazilian Wax, Strip will be donating SGD $1 to
PETA!

Many people are still very conservative to the idea of doing Brazilian Waxing, thus
I felt that this is a very interesting campaign and out-of-the-box idea which they
conjured. You get to try something new for the first time, benefits both yourself
and PETA, why not?
Like many, I am also very conservative! So here's my virgin experience with
Brazilian waxing ^^

My appointment was fixed at Strip @ Paragon.

Upon stepping into Strip @ Paragon, I have to say the ambience is 2 thumbs up!

The products creatively decorated on faux gramophone records on the wall.

Their news stand with booklets/ pamphlets
I would love to have such a stand in my house!

Why do they even have such a cool looking thing in the reception area!

Now, being my first time for such a service, the reception and ambience that
greeted me sure did a part in calming me down a little.

Before we get to the Brazilian Waxing itself, they ran through the Virgin Forest
Rescue Book with me!

Here we go!

Strip has pruned over 2 million bushes, definitely assuring and makes me feel that I
am in safe hands.

Secret Weapons unveiled!
The reason why they are going through this with me is because their first secret
weapon is... Knowing more makes you fear less!

So how will the Waxing be done?
Here's a cute illustration of the sequence they will eliminate the bush!
[Gotta give it to the illustration, man. I smiled when I looked at it for the first time!]

They are using hot wax, but don't worry, not the boiling hot kind.
You can always let them know if it is too hot for comfort and they will know what
to do [they will let it cool a little more before applying the wax on you]

Their Mantra?

See these hanging around?

A new pack for every customer! Definitely gave me more assurance in terms of
hygiene!

Secret Weapon Number Two: the rescue "hot-line"
Anything you want to ask but shy to do so face to face or over the phone, drop
them an e-mail and it will be replied within 24 hours.

Secret Weapon Number Three: Bach Flower Essence

It's to be taken orally; personally I did not use this because I have yet to experience
anything at that point thus I didn't felt I will need it; afterall, if I do feel extreme pain
midway, I can always request for it then.

Secret Weapon Number Four: Squeezy Toys anyone?
*cough* I mean, if you are in that much pain or fear, you should really squeeze one
instead of grabbing to their trained staff! (笑)

If you looked carefully at the gramophone records earlier, you might have spotted...

Secret Weapon Number Five: Chant-A-Mantra

This is so so true! I will not deny the fact that I was shy but at the back of my head,
I kept reminding myself that they must have seen hundreds and it probably don't
mean anything more than just hair they need to remove!

Their cute "Saving Virgin Forest Rescue Kit!"

Are they even supposed to be so adorable?!

It's time for me to experience it now that I am equipped with their secret weapons!

For Brazilian Wax, they do not use the soft wax below

Instead, they have 2 flavours of hard wax for you to choose!
1. Chocolate

2. Strawberry [This one supposedly has a soothing after-effect, but personally I
don't think it will make much of a difference since it all boils down to individual's
pain threshold level.

I told Hazel [the trained staff in charge of my session] that either will do and she
recommended me the strawberry flavoured one since first timers usually go for that.
I proceeded to keep my belongings in the cupboard space given.

Some interesting sentences eh?

Read: Tocopheryl Phosphate and Strawberry Fruit Extract for additional anti-itch,
anti-bacterial, anti-oxidizing and soothing properties.

The familiar poster!

No idea why but I found this really cute :3

Nervously laid down!

On the ceiling!
That's right, remember to breathe; it really helps with the pain!

Now, obviously I will not be posting anything explicit here. So here's a summary of my experience:

Hazel was very professional and careful since she knew it was my first time
doing Brazilian. She kept checking with me if the temperature of the wax was
okay, chatted with me and kept me distracted. Every time right before she
was going to pull the strip of wax off, she will tell me to take a deep breath;
now that really helped to calm my nervous vibes. After the first strip was
done, the pain turned out to be very bearable! On the scale of 1 to 10 [1
being the least painful and 10 being the most painful], it was around 3 - 3.5.
Huge relief, I started feeling less nervous. The pain comes and goes very
quickly; the pain from the first strip completely disappeared when it was time
to rip the third strip off. In a flash, the whole Brazilian was over; probably took
a mere 10 - 15 minutes. Hazel shared with me that usually Brazilian Wax don't
exceed 30 minutes; average time taken for each  Brazilian Wax is about 15-25
minutes. By the time I got my bottom half dressed, I could not feel any
discomfort nor pain at all. Then again, I have to remind you guys that
individual's pain threshold is different so that might just be me. I left the room
feeling happy and extremely clean~ [albeit slightly naked ^^;;]

There you go! I have nothing but good reviews for their service and professionalism.

Finally, before I left Strip @ Paragon, I was given the choice of choosing either
the Top Ruby Red Kit [with Red Havaianas] or Slim Purple Kid [with Purple Slim
Havaianas]~ I chose the first one [Red is more of my colour ^^ Cannot seem
to picture myself wearing purple slippers!
[Note: If you want the kit, you have to top up SGD $44.90 for the Top Red
Ruby Kit or SGD $49.90 for the Slim Purple Kit on top of your Brazilian Wax
Promotional Price.]
Comes with a bright red bag!

So many things inside~
The SOS & FAQ guides, my pair of Havaianas, a SGD $5 Havaianas voucher
and a heart shaped pin for my Havaianas [From what I was told, the staff was
supposed to pin it onto my slippers for me but they did not ask me about it
^^;;], 1 tub of body butter & 1 tub of body scrub.

Time to hit the beach in my new Havaianas and bikini ready booty yo!

Remember, Every Brazilian Wax done, Strip will donate SGD $1 to PETA to
support their Corp! I can see myself going back again in future :3 Extremely
satisfied!

Don't forget to "Like" Strip's Official Facebook Page for the latest promotions
and updates!

*special thanks to Pearlin for the invitation*

Eternity to me!

Pyong, it's the Pink Brown Liquid Eyeliner~

I really like their packaging!

Propylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Iron Oxide

Product Type: Liquid

Packaging: 8.5/10 - I don't think liquid liner can be packaged any too
differently~ Thus I am just going 100% visual on this rating. Simplicity is
pretty much written all over with packaging of the eyeliner itself.

Pigmentation: 6.5/10 - Not saying that the colour does not come out rich/ how
it is supposed to be; rather, I am talking about intensity of colour here. Being
a pink brown colour, obviously it will be lighter than your regular eyeliner! Point
to note: going for a sweet, natural and girly look here!

Ease of Application: 8.5/10 - Glides on my lids easily and gives me good
control of the brush.

Lasting Power: 8/10 - To be honest, since I don't do my eyeliner thick/ heavily,
I usually can't really tell if my eyeliner is still there until I remove my makeup.
Since the colour is really light, sometimes I see it on my cotton pad when I
remove my make up after about 8 hours outside, sometimes I don't.

Availability: 9/10 - Pretty much accessible in my opinion, I see them being
sold in SaSa and BHG island wide.

Price: 8.5/10 - Once again, a pretty reasonable price; the SGD $23.90 price
tag is definitely no stranger to many drug store brands.

Repurchase: Maybe. One of the reason is because I have about 11 eyeliners
in my stash now... I have no idea when can I ever finish using them since
having eyeliner on is not a must for me when I do my makeup and even if I use
eyeliner, I do it very subtly. Trust me when I say 1 eyeliner can last me a year
and still working without signs of fading halfway during application.

Overall Rating: 8.5/10

Like the mascara, this product can definitely live up to giving you the sweet,
natural and girly look. Those who want to go down that road/ do the korean
ulzzang look, these products definitely will come in very handy for you.
