Hello! 3 million years since the last lash review? I took note of the fact [as mentioned by my reader] that I have not done any Jewerich lash reviews before so here's the first one from Jewerich!
Jewerich Eyelash in P-2「ジュエリッチ アイラッシュ P-2」
Closer look at the lashes
When worn:
Side view & closed eye view
Upfront View:
Visual Easy Rating for Jewerich Eyelash in P-2*:
Volume (8/10) - It's pretty dense on the whole, especially towards the tail of the lash. however, since the front portion of the lash is just moderately dense, i only gave it an 8/10.
Length (lash strands) [7/10] - Not outrageously long, but still long. most of the strands are around the same length.
Length (lash band) [7/10] - Lash band extends till the tail of my eye. Just right for me as it will form the normal "corner" when I put lower lashes.
Ease of Application [8/10] - As usual. I think it might just be me being so used to lashes >.>
Comfort [7.5/10] - I think it's pretty comfy, unlike many Jewerich reviews that I read about. [Then again, those reviews I read were on the first batch of Jewerich lashes....]
Reusability [8/10] - I think the lash band felt pretty firm when I cleaned it [the above pair of lashes on the tray as pictured has been used about 4 times] so I don't see it falling apart easily.
Price [6.5/10] - Considering the reusable factor, I still think it is pretty pricey [I mean, when there's diamond lash around, it kinda makes other brands look pricey >.>]
Overall Rating: 7/10
*This pair of lash should match with at least moderately visible eye make or it till look out of place/ too overwhelming!*
Well, I'm keeping the momentum :3 More reviews tomorrow, shall not tell you what product! I'm off to study for now ^^
Hello everyone! *beams* I want to share with you an event I attended last Sunday! Before the event, Tsuriki & I went to Waseda Shibuya High for their Seiran Festival 「早稲田渋谷星蘭祭」 ^^ No pictures because I forgot my camera........
-_-
I know right, feel like boxing myself.
イケメンがあるですけど… とても若い!! I feel like I'm committing a crime just by looking at them. *palm face*
But it was a very nice experience! Not a noob because Tsuriki was with me, ngak ngak.
After that, we head down to Vivocity for late lunch/ early dinner Got my camera from my brother! Guess what we ate~
Superdog!
3 million years since I last ate this!
いただきます!
Nom nom nom *hungry T.T*
Then headed down to the Indoor Stadium!
8 countries in this tournament!
Thanks to a certain someone who bailed me out last minute, I had 1 extra ticket. Felt that it was such a waste... Luckily Kar Mun won tickets on her side so I met up with her :3
Ngak ngak, my date for the night
Excited for the show!
It's starting!
Go go go *waves hands*
Michiyo, whom I have not seen for a long time, was there too!
Started!
Sorry but I do not have very good shots, tried my best T.T Missed out quite a few stuff because I was busy adjusting my camera for the best aperture, shutter and ISO....
The first set of models all donned chic looking glasses! Totally apt, 眼鏡 is very much in the trend now! Not to forget, their head wear! Animals :3
SUPER LOVE, WHERE CAN I GET THEM?!
I recognised this girl, Dawn from Mediacorp [ex]!
Apparently from the response of the audience, the guy in the middle is also a mediacorp artiste.
Sorry but I don't watch local dramas... So I don't know who he is -_-
I filtered and grouped all the shots :3 This was the best I could do. Summarise 'em for you!
Each model was given a budget of $500 [each team had to prepare 10 styles, thus a total of $5000] from head to toe! First round [total of 2 rounds]: Street Chic Style
First up: France
Their Collection:
^ I thought theirs was the most wearable on normal basis :3 Very casual.
I can see myself donning similar styles!
Second: Italy
Their Collection:
^ I liked their bold colours!
Unafraid to play with colours! Super loved the blue one and green outfits!
Third: USA
Their Collection:
^ Looking foxy!
I want their fox tails T.T
IMO, 2nd most wearable set of outfits (after France)!
Fourth: Japan [wolf whistles]
Their Collection:
^ I LOVE THEIR CRAZY HEAD WEAR!
Not to be biased by I loved their collection the most!
I can totally see myself wearing some of them out [like the one in the middle and to
the right of it!]
I rate this set the 4th most wearable of the round, but all their pretty jackets and
layering of clothes is what I do a lot, which is why I liked this the most and am able
to see myself donning something similar!
Wear-ability that I mean here is by general public acceptance of their ideas, but I am
slightly different from general public... :3
Oh, and look at the shoes of the model on the extreme right; no heels, stilettos to
support!
*Admires her & stares in awe*
Fifth, UK.
Unfortunately... I was changing seats to look for Tsuriki so I didn't manage to capture
the pictures but their collection was very pretty too!
Kinda like *run run run run, stops to look and stare in awe, run run run run again*
Only managed to capture 2!
^ side note, love her leopard print shoes and her torso is really long....
Sixth: Russia
Their Collection:
Nude colours!
I think with slight adjustments [like wearing the bra INSIDE and the full nude piece to
be replaced with something white] will make them everyday wearable.
But then again, here we are talking about the runway :3
First girl from the left, the thing on her head is actually...
A BAG! [that aside, LOVE THE SHOES]
Seventh: Brazil
Their Collection:
^ From general public point of view, I think it will be the 3rd most wearable set of the
round. However, from MY point of view, it will be the 2nd most wearable set!
Once again, my love for jackets and layering.
I like how they paid close attention to accessories too :3
All their shoes are of the similar styles too!
Love the outfits on the extreme left and right!
A notable mention: Their models were very happy and jumpy on the runway!
I felt that they managed to engage and interest the crowd the most!
Last but not least, Eight: Singapore
Their Collection:
Ahem, I LOVE THE ONE ON THE EXTREME LEFT!
SEE THE "NECKLACE?"
Made of many hello kitties!
And she has so much pinks on her!
LOVE LOVE LOVE!
I think the one on the extreme right was pretty cool too!
2 of the models had headphones on 'em, I think it helps to add to the "street chic" vibe.
After all 8 teams showed their collections, time for a little intermission!
Performance!
And of course, personal camwhore time
And results of round 1, the 4 qualifying teams were:
Japan, Singapore, UK and France
then came a little twist;
Each of the winning team had to choose 1 of the teams that did not qualify and use 2
of their models join the runway with their own models!
After the announcement, we were given a 30 minute break for the teams to prep their
models!
And what did we do during this time?
Take pictures?
Not really...
We went to eat!
Karmun & her love for baked rice!
Tsuriki & I shared this
Had my usual creamy chicken!
& Tsuriki's crumble cheese and something...
Unfortunately, when we were back to the show, round 2 ended...
T.T
We only managed to make it for the other intermission; performance of guest Se7en!
Below are the videos for the performance:
Digital Bounce:
[whoops, check back later, I'm uploading it!]
Speaking his sexy english
Debut song, Come Back To Me:
Passion:
I like Se7en!
He's been with Park Han Byul for a whooping 7 years!
Stay this way and never change baby!
Time for results!
All the models, on stage!
Below are some shots of the models on the stage, I guess we can catch a glimpse
of what's on for the 2nd round, yes?
Revealing results country by country!
Singapore: 54
Japan: 62
France: 48
UK: A WHOOPING 79
Clear winner!
Woohoo!
I think from this fashion show, the purpose had been served; funds for the Japan
earthquake victims and uniting fashion of different nations!
So heartwarming!
Models with the big big cash... voucher (?)
Looks gorgeous!
Camera man, why you block my view?
Meow~ I really like how everyone is interacting with each other :3 Heartwarming x9999!
Everyone is a winner!
Everybody is happy!
Congratulations to UK once again!
& so, the show wrapped up on a happy note :3
Lastly, I wanna thank Shunji Matsuo for the invitation for this event! Thoroughly enjoyed myself ^^
So some of you might have realised, why my pictures recently so pretty?
*thick skin*
Before I get to that, I went to Marutama @ Liang Court again for dinner!
This time, with my darling Sy!
& I have this recent obsession with gyoza... I don't know why! I used to hate gyoza!
The very simple yet extremely delicious Ramen!
It's super value for your money [Think mine was around SGD $11], it's extremely fulling! Order the spicy one! The spicyness taste very unique, not the typical kinda chilli taste!
After that, we went to chit chat and had a cake from Tanpopo Deli!
^ Introduced by Tsuriki ^^
Taste awesome~ fuwa fuwa!
Okay, back to awesome pictures :3
The first step to having others to like you is... LOVE YOURSELF!
I think it's true to a certain extent...
Here's an awkward smile for you~
I don't know about you, but I really like this ^^ My current facebook dp!
But you guys probably are more familiar with this, my Facebook Page's Dp
I didn't realise my eyelashes were falling T.T
About this macro ring light, I first saw it from Tsuriki!
You can attach it to your DSLRS [they have attachment for 52mm - 82mm]
For my G12, I can screw it into my lens adapter
My lens adapter has yet to arrive, thus I am just holding it with my camera for now (:
Make my nose look so pretty, super LOVE.
Macro ring light for camera cost around $200 ish. I got mine for a price much lower :3
Okay I shall save other pictures for another time.
Do you have a special occasion coming up?
We all know what makes a celebration complete...
FOOD!
Yes!
When we were younger, we might spend more money on clothes, accessories, make up, blah blah blah.
I mean, I still spend money on them now but the amount I spend on food
surpass all of them!
2 types of product that I believe we can NEVER scrimp on: Skincare/beauty & FOOD.
So today I am going to introduce to you one restaurant that is fairly new here
in Singapore [opened for about half a year] but definitely not a new name
in the market [First opened in Malaysia in 1977]
RESTORAN OVERSEA GROUP
I was very honoured to be one of the few bloggers invited for this feast! Yes, it was a huge feast! [10 course]
They were extremely generous with the selection of dishes; more than half of what
we had were signature dishes and all in large portions!
I requested for a glass of Honey Dew Juice upon arrival.
The juice tasted very sweet!
Many times I am quite skeptical about ordering honey dew juice as many times they taste bland.
Juice aside, time for the feast to begin!
First Dish: Oversea Special "Char Siew" / 海外天叉烧 [SGD $50/ Large (8-10 pax)]
The char siew is slightly sticky on the outside. I was literally salivating just looking at the dish [even now when I look at the picture...]
Upon first bite...
Best. Char. Siew. Ever.
I was expecting the outer portion of the meat to be hard but was pleasantly surprised! It was slightly sticky and chewy; the meat beneath the roasted surface literally melted in my mouth. The gravy and the char siew tasted like one. It was not even close to any Char Siew I've eaten before! The secret to the delicious delicacy; they use traditional method to roast the meat with charcoal! This is a HOT FAVOURITE and if you do not wish to be disappointed, you will have to pre-order the dish in advance! This is because they can only roast a limited capacity of meat a day due to the size of furnace. I like how they spend the effort to use CHARCOAL and slowly cook the meat, not compromising the quality for quantity nor convenience.
Second Dish: Double Boiled Dried Seafood In Supreme Soup / 原盅佛锤延 [SGD 29.80/ serving]
This dish is made up of dried seafood! They are then double boiled for over 8 hours, thoroughly extracting the essence of each ingredient.
The dried seafood include: Fish Maw, Abalone, Sea Cucumber, Mushroom, Scallop. Also, chicken is included in this soup.
I didn't quite know what to expect as I've never tried anything similar before.
I wish I can drink it right now!
The sweetness of all the different ingredients, double boiled to perfection, creating a unique flavour not found anywhere else! I was told that this soup is supposingly just one level below the widely popular "Buddha Jumps Over The Wall / 佛跳墙" [just minus the shark's fin] but honestly, I prefer this! I felt it tasted better than the Buddha Jumps Over The Wall I've eaten before.
Third Dish: BBQ Peking Duck With Beancurd Skin Stuffing with Mushroom / 京式火芳鸭 [SGD $8/ piece]
Just look at the layers!
Layers from Top to Bottom: Peking Duck Skin & Meat, Beancurd Skin with Stuffing, Peking Duck Meat, Bun
Nom nom nom!
The skin is crispy and the meat is tender. The duck actually takes TWO DAYS to prepare! I think the little piece of bun at the bottom actually helps to balance the rich flavour of the duck meat with the beancurd skin stuffed with mushroom. Two thumbs up! You can dip into more of their special duck sauce if you wish but I thought the amount that was already it was sufficient. This is something like a "Modern Chinese Style Burger." I don't meant to be gross but just want to show you guys the stuffing in the beancurd skin!
Fourth Dish: Steamed Live Soon Hock Fish / 清蒸笋壳鱼 [SGD $11/ 100g]
If you are wondering why is the fish so big, that's because this fish is being
reared in the wilderness! A freshwater fish, average of such fish is about
1.5kg. You can pick your fish from their fish tanks! The fish they prepared for us
was 1.7kg! You will not/ find such size outside in normal restaurants!
If you feel that it's too big [E.g if you are only eating with 3 people], you can
request or half a fish! If you have a big group, you can even request to steam
half the fish and fry the other half!
The meat is very soft and tender! Sauce blended perfectly with the meat.
The meat tasted extremely fresh. I am someone who is VERY particular when it comes to eating fish. The slightest taste of fishy-ness/ unfresh, I will not be
able to continue eating it.The fish was so big that the normal intestine/ liver
you don't see in normal fishes [because they are too small] is big enough to be
seen in the fish here!
Fifth Dish: Oversea Special Baked Tiger King Prawn / 招牌大明虾
[SGD $11/ 100g]
The prawn is.... HUGE!
Look at it right beside my face!
I don't usually eat prawns due to the hassle of peeling the shell ^^;;
The huge prawn was very crunchy [in the prawn context], the sauce seeped right into
the meat. Extremely satisfying to be chewing on such a huge prawn, I must say!
Sixth Dish: Sauteed Pork Belly With Salted Fish咸鱼花脯煲
[SGD $35/ Large (8-10 pax)]
I didn't eat much of it because due to the nature of this dish, it is usually taken with rice.
Seventh Dish: Braised Homemade Beancurd With Petola / 菜香自制豆腐
[SGD $3/ piece]
Burning question in my head; what is the green sitting on top?
This is how a Petola looks like!
The beancurd is home made! :3 It tasted much smoother and richer than those you
purchase outside!
I like bean curd ^^ Good for skin!
Eight Dish: Young Kai Lan In 2 Ways / 鸳鸯嫩芥兰 [SGD $25]
One of my favourite Veggie! While the Kai Lan inside tasted crunchy, it's the frizzy
looking ones on the outside that caught my attention. Never seen anyone preparing
Kai Lan this way before! It actually tasted very much like seaweed [crispy seaweed] in
terms of texture but with the Kai Lan taste! Sorry, no picture of me eating this because
I thought doing so with every single dish is kinda funny T.T Will make the post too
picture heavy!
Ninth Dish: Oversea Fried Rice / 天下炒饭 [SGD $25]
What's so special about this simple looking fried rice that makes it a signature dish?
The mouthfeel. There is this sticky & chewy thing that I keep biting on, but can't
quite make out what it was, later revealed to be.... charred rice!
They use the charred bits [like those found sticking onto the claypot of claypot rice] to
fry with cooked rice to make this dish! No wonder it's a signature!
Tenth Dish: Double Boiled Papaya With Almond Seeds With Plum Jelly
/
万寿果炖桃胶 [SGD $5/ serving]
Once again, they adopt the technique of double boiling to cook the RAW
papaya till
it's RIPE [about 4 hours]!
See how generous they are with each
serving? I actually thought this was priced pretty
low given how much effort
that went into the preparation and the smooth and
refreshing
taste of it!
Being the last
dish to conclude the 10 course, I thought that it was a very apt
choice
made by the
management. It made me felt like "I'm ready for round 2" after my
palate
was
refreshed!
Hold your horses, I know you are dying
to know the venue of this restoran,
but let me share with you a little bonus
from them; they actually prepared
Moon cakes for us too [due to the
approaching Mid Autumn Festival that time]!
Be surprised by the unique
flavours they have!
Pink Mango With Dragon Fruit
Bean Paste With
Pandan
Sesame
Chocolate With Coffee
For all the moon cakes above, I really
like how they are not too sweet and with a mild
hint of the flavour.
Not forgetting the more classic one; Bean
Paste With Yolk
Classic, but with a twist; the skin is actually crumbly!
After the entire meal, they still gave
each of us a box of moon cakes!
4 types of flavours in a box
of 8 pieces!
What more can I ask for?
Happy~
Okay, now that you are probably
salivating a river [pun intended], I will keep
you in suspense no further
and let you know the address!
100 Beach Road
#01-27 Shaw Leisure Gallery
Shaw Towers
Singapore
I know that many of the widely celebrated festivals are
over
[Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day, Mid Autumn Festival, etc] but
there's
always birthdays, right?
Even if everything
is over, you don't need a reason to give your parents/
family a treat
(:
Finally, thank you Oversea Restoran Group & The Sample Store for extending
the
invitation to me! Thoroughly enjoyed the food and will definitely be back
for more with
