Yay, I finally got to meet up with Kiyora again after the last time she came over to my place!
We went for Tonkutsu King Ramen at Orchid Hotel first.
I didn't take any pictures there because I was really warm with my thick jacket and it was raining, which made the place quite stuffy. All I wanted to do was eat and get out. I tried the normal/ basic ramen for the first time instead of my usual Black Spicy Ramen and I have to say, Black Spicy tastes better.
I felt that the Basic one was kind of salty.
After that, we went to my highly raved Tsujiri again!
Man, I'm bringing everyone there!
This time, I finally decided to get out of my comfort zone and try something different.
Our high tea [right after lunch?!]
The cups are actually really tiny, which is why I placed it at the back so it doesn't seem that dwarfed. Compared to my usual Tsujiri Shaved Ice [O-maccha], this is probably 1/3 that size?
And yes, I finally got the chance to taste their Roll cake!
Finally, it's always sold out when I'm there!
The one on the left is O-maccha while the one on the right is Sesame with... something that's really long and hard to remember. I only remember that "it is something like soy flavour" for the yellow cream stuff.
See, it is really REALLY tiny. Kiyora and I were joking about how we will finish this in about 4~5 sips if we took normal sips.
Nonetheless, this taste nice and rich with moderate sweetness.
Maccha roll cake was delicious. The cake was light and the cream was not too sweet. I can never get overdose of maccha despite having a maccha drink, maccha roll cake with maccha cream filling.
This is their new item, the sesame roll cake with sesame cream in the centre and the yellow cream is something like soy. [I really cannot remember what is it called...] Very refreshing! The two things I was obsessed with in Japan was sesame and maccha! The sesame gave a very nice texture to the soft roll cake and the taste was not overwhelming - complemented my drink very well in fact.
I will definitely recommend you guys to get a omaccha drink to go with the sesame cake. I think it is a better combination and you will not be overwhelmed by the omaccha.
Blogging about this makes me want to go back already!
Okay anyway, abrupt ending for you.
I'm gonna reply to Kiyora's blogger tag now!
xoxo
