[Sponsored] The Body Shop Tea Tree Power!
I know, I'm on a roll!

Today I'm going to introduce two products from a brand which many are familiar with.

They are The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil & Tea Tree Pore Minimizer.
Do you know that the Tea Tree products from The Body Shop are made from the finest Organic Community Fair Trade Tea Trees leaves from Kenya? Not to mention, The Body Shop's Tea Tree range is their global best seller!

Also, The Body Shop's believes that true beauty comes from the heart; their products are never tested on animals and 100% vegetarian.

Let me talk about the New Tea Tree Pore Minimiser from the popular Tea Tree range first.

The product claims to be able to:
  • Minimise - Instantly soften the look of enlarged pores
  • Mattify - Instantly absorb excess sebum
  • Refine - Clinically proven to effectively reduce pore size in four weeks

After using it for 3 days straight, here's my review:

This product has a strong scent, probably the signature tea tree scent; I'm not too sure since I've never came across a scent like such and this is my first time using a product made from tea tree. I am not a fan of products with overwhelming scent and this scent came across as pretty strong for me. From the description, I believe I can say it works like a primer. This product definitely lives up to its claim. It is able to make my pores look smaller and mattify my face, making it much easier for make up application afterwards. My make up also last longer when used on the Tea Tree Pore Minimiser before application. Though it did not claim to be suitable for sensitive skin, I do have sensitive skin and I did not experience any breakouts in the past three days after using this product. I am unable to comment on the "refine" aspect since I am not 4 weeks into using it. Retailing at SGD $32.90 for 30ml, I will say that it is fairly inexpensive for a product that lives up to its claims and is also 100% vegetarian.

I will give Tea Tree Pore Minimiser an overall rating of 8.5/10; the deduction of 1.5 points is because I am not a big fan of scented products unless I like the scent a lot (1 point) and the inability to test the "refine" claim due to time constraint [0.5 point].

Let us go to the next product - Tea Tree Oil.

This product is their best seller, with 1 bottle sold every 10 seconds; this definitely built up anticipation before I used it. This product is for use on blemishes; it claims to clear blemishes effectively without over drying the skin. I happened to have 2 blemishes on my face and 1 threatening to pop when I got my hands on this product, which makes my face a good test subject (I guess?)

After using it for 3 days straight, here's my review:

The size of my blemish reduced after just 1 night; I applied this before sleeping and the size of my blemish visibly reduced by the next morning. This is definitely good news since no one likes to have a fat pimple on their faces, right? Another notable observation was that after 2 days, the pimple that was threatening to surface became smaller instead of popping out to see the daylight- double joy for me! Oh wait, make that triple joy - this product only cost SGD $18.90 for 10ml! 10ml may seem little but since a tiny amount is needed each use, it can last a long time!

I will give Tea Tree Oil an overall rating of 9/10 - the last point missing due to the scent. As I've previously mentioned, I am not a big fan of scented products but since this is made from Lemon Tea Tree and has Tamanu Oil, it is inevitable to be scented. The pros definitely outweighs the cons [I do not dislike the scent actually; neutral about it so I can't really say this is a con] so I will not hesitate to continue using this product.

Did I mention there is a 20% off when you purchase any 2 Tea Tree products?
This promotion is so apt; you can get both products that I've just reviewed!

Definitely recommend these products from the Tea Tree Range! They are priced at wallet friendly prices and lives up to the product claims. The manifesto that all products from The Body Shop are 100% vegetarian and not animal tested makes me feel good purchasing and using the products. If you are worried about compatibility with your skin, you can ask for free Tea Tree samples at any The Body Shop Stores!
