[Sponsored] Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion Review
I'm back with my favourite drug store brand from Japan!

This Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion has:
  • Arbutin - Enhance skin fairness and helps fight dark spots. Dull skin is renewed to reveal clear and fair skin.
  • Vitamin C - Enhance the skin's fairness and repairs dry, dull skin caused by exposure to UV rays.
  • Hyaluronic Acid - Need I say more about this ingredient's hydrating properties?

This product strives to achieve 3 things many girls desire; Fairness, Brightness and Moisturizing. I certainly want all those!

Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion Review:

Manufacturing Country: Japan

Product Volume: 170ml

Product Ingredients: Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Arbutin, PPG-10 Methyl Glucose Ether, Disodium Succinate, Methylparaben, Styrene/ VP Copolymer, Tremella Fuciformis Polysaccharide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Succinic Acid, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate

Product Type: Liquid

Packaging: 9/10 - As usual, their packaging reflects their philosophy of being "Perfect x Simple" like any other under their umbrella; very straight to the point containing just all the information you will possibly need. Like the other lotion I've reviewed, the amount in the bottle can probably an equally long time as you only require 2-3 drops per application.

Scent: 0/10 - There is no scent at all.

Rate of Absorption: 9/10 - The lotion gets absorb in about a minute.

Product [Whitening & Brightening] Efficiency: 8.5/10 - After about 2 weeks of using this product, I noticed my skin looking more "alive" and, albeit slight, there was indeed whitening observed. Visible brightening, I must say.

Moisturizing Efficiency: 9/10 - Being Hada Labo, they never disappoint in this aspect! Their main focus in this product is not moisturizing but a combination of whitening, brightening and moisturizing and therefore, it loses slightly to the Hada Labo Hyaluronic Acid Lotion.

Texture: 8.5/10 - It is colourless liquid.

Ease of Use: 9/10 - The nozzle is small enough for the product to be dispensed one drop a time, which is perfect since you only need at most 3 drops for your whole face. Pour it onto the palm of your hand and just use your fourth finger to dab into the lotion and then onto your face; not that difficult if you ask me.

Availability: 9/10 - It is available at all Watsons islandwide.

Price: 10/10 - Yes, I can't imagine any score lower than this. At SGD $22.90/170ml [TBC], I can't tell you how much value for money you are getting for this product! It can last SO LONG and at such a economical price - not to mention the fact that it works well!

Repurchase: Yes. I always include Hada Labo in my skin care regime. Even when I try new products to review, I always go back to Hada Labo after some time because I feel so used to it! I've been looking to go back to whitening products [my derm advised me against it about over a year ago and I haven't been using whitening product since then] and will probably start with this once I finish my other skincare products [which will really take some time...]

Overall Rating: 8.75/10

[Sponsored] Hada Labo Lotion's New Nano Formula & New Eye Cream
Booyah!
Are you happy to see my title?
I know I sure am!
To be honest, every girl that I've mentioned this brand to, including those with sensitive skin, have nothing but praises for it.

Hada Labo now has an all new Nano Formula!
Do you know that 100% of the women in Singapore agree on its instant hydrating power?
With the new Nano Formula, the already effective hydrating power is given yet another boost!
With 3 types of Hyaluronic acid [Nano, Normal, Super], your skin is sure to get hydrated with Hada Labo.
Thanks to TSS for sending me these on behalf of Hada Labo/ Mentholatum.

Ready for the review?

Hada Labo Nano Formula Super Hyaluronic Lotion Review:

Manufacturing Country: Japan

Product Volume: 170ml

Product Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, PPG-10 Methyl Glucose Ether, Methylparaben, Disodium Succinate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Soccinic Acid, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate

Product Type: Liquid

Packaging: 9/10 - I think the packaging reflects their philosophy of being "Perfect x Simple" very well as it is really a no frills yet contain information you will need/ be interested in. The amount in the bottle might look like any other product in the market that can provide you for 3-6 months but my last bottle lasted me over a year because only 2-3 drops is needed each application!

Scent: 0/10 - There is no scent at all.

Rate of Absorption: 9/10 - The lotion gets absorb very quickly - in a minute or less.

Product Efficiency: 9/10 - This really gives my face instant hydration. Using it regularly, I don't experience much problems of my skin drying or looking too oily [if you keep your face hydrated properly, the oil secretion on your face gets controlled too because oil is secreted when your skin lacks moisture so as to make up for it.]

Moisturizing Efficiency: 9.5/10 - Absolute love. Ever since I started using this product back when it first launched in Singapore, I never looked back - 'nuff said.

Texture: 9/10 - It is colourless liquid, easy to handle.

Ease of Use: 9/10 - Extremely easy. The nozzle is small and dispense the product one drop at a time, which is very useful since each application only requires 2 - 3 drops for the whole face. [Please do not dispense a lot and slap a bunch onto your face because that will do more harm than good. Remember, more does not equate to good]

Availability: 8/10 - It is available at all Watsons islandwide.

Price: 10/10 - Yes, I'm giving it a perfect score. It cost SGD $26.90/170ml and it can last me over a year. That works out to be /month or /day. For a product so effective, I'm saying that this price is too good to be true!

Repurchase: Yes. I always include Hada Labo in my skin care regime. Even when I try new products to review, I always go back to Hada Labo after some time because I feel so used to it!

Overall Rating: 9.5/10

This has got to be the highest I've given a skin care product thus far.
Really my holy grail skin care product!

Now for the new Eye Cream~

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturising Eye Cream Review:

Manufacturing Country: Japan

Product Volume: 15g

Product Ingredients: Water, Propanediol, Cycloppentasiloxane/ Dimethiconol, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, C14-22 Alcohols/ C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside, Cyclopentasiloxane, Isononyl Isononanoate, Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Glycerides/ Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides, Stearoxytrimethylsilane/ Stearyl Alcohol, Jojoba Esters, Saccharomyces Cerevisiae Extract, Sodium Acrylate/ Acrylolydimethyltaurate Copolyer/ Isohexadecane/ Polysorbate 80, Propylene Flycol/ Diazolidinyl Urea/ Methylparaben/ Propylparaben, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Sodium Acetylated hyaluronate

Product Type: Cream

Packaging: 9/10 - Once again, very simple and no frills packaging. I like the pump as it is very sanitary to dispense product in such way, unlike many creams out in the market that comes in a tub.

Scent: 0/10 - There is no scent at all.

Rate of Absorption: 8.75/10 - For an eye cream, it gets absorbed really quickly. Most eye cream take a longer time to absorb due to it's thicker texture but this cream is actually pretty light and thus, gets absorbed quicker.

Product Efficiency: 8/10 - Once again, I've mentioned before that  I don't seem to get dark circles no matter how much sleep debt I incur so I cannot tell if this product helps in lightening dark circles as it claims to. As for fine lines, I don't have fine lines around my eyes yet so I can't tell either [Sorry T.T]. Only thing I can test for was the claim to reduce puffiness, which I did see a slight improvement after using it for about 5 days.

Moisturizing Efficiency: -/10 - I don't have wrinkles/ fine lines [at least not any that I can see] or dry skin around my eye area so I can't really vouch for this factor, sorry!

Texture: 9/10 - Though it is cream, it is extremely light! Very easy to handle.

Ease of Use: 8.75/10 - The pump is easy to control and the bottle is small enough to hold in one hand and pumping with the same hand.

Availability: 8/10 - It is available at all Watsons islandwide.

Price: 8.5/10 - I would have given it a higher rating if I could test all the claims it made but unfortunately, I guess my skin around my eyes is not a good test subject for this product. It cost SGD $21.90/15g and I do believe that it is fairly inexpensive.

Repurchase: Maybe. I still have quite a few eye products in my shelf and I am extremely lazy when it comes to applying eye care products so I will have to see how it goes...

Overall Rating: 8.5/10

[Sponsored] Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing UV Milk
This product that I am going to show you is definitely going to get lots of love!

No, I'm not for sale, kekeke. [I don't think anyone will purchase anyway!]
Digressing, pfft.
Anyway, when I first saw this product on the shelves, I was so tempted to
grab one right away! Only reason why I didn't - I just bought a brand new
tube of sunblock from another brand.

That's right, I'm talking about the new Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid
Moisturizing Milk [SGD $19.90/38ml]!

The moment I saw this from Hada Labo, I thought that I MUST get it.
Hada Labo is the only brand that remain constant in my skincare regime
over the last 2 years so that speaks a lot about my confidence in this Japanese
brand!

With SPF 50, you can be assured of protection from the harmful UVA and UVB
rays. What's more, it is a 3-in-1 product; meaning to say, it serves as/for:

1. Make up Base [Did you know that some sunblock/ sunscreen can actually
serve as makeup base?]
2. UV Protection [the SPF]
3. Hydrating [I'm sure you can tell since it has Super Hyaluronic Acid!]

Do these Japanese words look intimidating?

Fret not, all the information you will ever need have been translated to English
at the back of the packaging.

Time to test the product; does it live up to my expectations, given my previous
experiences with various Hada Labo products?
Firstly, shake the bottle!

It's a habit for me to smell products ^^;;
No worries, I didn't smell anything at all.

I'm sorry this picture is out of focus, I didn't realise it ):
Anyway, dispense a little~

Rub it all over! Do you know that this product is free of colourant, Alcohol,
Mineral Oil and Fragrance?

It gets absorbed very quickly, leaving no white residue whatsoever!
[full review below]

Comparing left [with product] and right [without product] hands, see how
there is no distinct difference even after application? [Some sunblock tend
to make your skin look olier/ white after application]

After a few days of using, I'm ready to tell you what I think!

Visual Easy Rating for Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic
Acid Moisturizing UV Milk:

Manufacturing Country: Japan

Product Weight: 38ml

Product Ingredients: Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Ethylhexyl Methoxcinnamate,
Zinc Oxide, Glycerin, Isononyl Isononanoate, Polymethylsilsesquioxane,
Butylene Glycol, Silica, Lauroyl Lysine, Lauryl PEG-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl,
Dimethicone, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Acrylates/
Dimethicone Copolymer, Hydrogen Dimethicone, Triethoxysilylethyl
Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Hexyl Dimethicone, Methylparaben, Propylparaben,
Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate,
Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid

Product Texture: Fluid

Scent: 0/10 - Honestly, I cannot detect any hint of smell at all.

Packaging: 8.5/10 - The packagings of Hada labo products are always very
simple; no frills and I love it. Size is just right too, able to put it into make up
pouch without hassle.

Absorption: 9/10 - It took a minute or so before it was completely absorbed
into my skin. After absorption, my face is not left looking oily or white;
completely the same as before application. No sticky/ tacky feeling on face
either.

Lasting Power : 9/10 -  SPF 50 is just right for someone like me who is
extremely lazy to re-apply. I will feel insecure if any thing lower [E.g. SPF 30]
or over powering if anything above [E.g. SPF 80] since I am not going to be
spending the whole day under the sun.

Moisturize : 8.5/10 - I'm sure we all know the use of hyaluronic acid by now;
that being said, I do see an improvement in my face's moisture level as I will
tend to peel a little later [I'm on some meds that caused my skin to peel,
usually they start peeling/ show flakes after about 2-3 hours; I see that this
is extended to about 4 hours instead when I use this UV Milk]

Availability: 8.5/10 - Hada Labo products might be available in many places
now but do note that for this UV Milk, it is exclusively found in Watsons only.
That does not mean it's hard to find; Watsons has so many stores in
Singapore, it's hard to miss one!

Price: 7/10 - At SGD $19.90, the price might be an initial setback for many as
there are many competitor brands selling at a lower price. However, taking into
consideration how long a tube can actually last you, I do find that it is still
relatively inexpensive.

Repurchase: Most definitely. I can see myself converting to this from now on!

Overall Rating: 8.75/10

I'm glad that this product certainly lived up to my expectations!
All that hype was not for nought!
I had to take points off as it is not water proof =/
But then, it's water based so I'm not complaining!
Do remember to pop by Hada Labo's Facebook Page for the latest updates and
promotions [sample redemptions too]

[Sponsored] Hada Labo Hydrating Cleansing Oil Review
ねねね〜
New product to introduce to you guys :3
I will be talking about the Hada Labo Hydrating Cleansing Oil [SGD $20.90/bottle]

Days like this, when you have make up on~

Fret not! I have a product that can cleanse your face clean yet hyrdating!
The Hada Labo Hydrating Cleansing Oil has High Purity Olive Oil which ensures
thorough cleansing and Super Hyaluronic Acid which gives 2 times more
moisture than normal hyaluronic acid!

Let's get down to using it!

Prepare some cotton?

You don't need that!

See the stopper?

Remove it yo~

Squirt some onto your palm

Pyong~

I squirted a little too much for photo sake ^^;; This is more than enough
for the whole face!

Time to remove the 眼鏡!

I'm just going to do it on the left side of my face first.
Apply the cleansing oil onto your face

Gently rub the area you want to cleanse

Even your falsies get removed like a charm!

Since I'm in my room for photo taking sake, I will use a small container of water
and cotton to rinse off the cleansing oil~

Usually I will do this at the sink where I will cleanse my face with my regular
cleanser after rinsing the oil off!

*rub rub*

Here's the comparison yo~
[I have more breakouts on the right of my face, thus you don't actually see a
huge difference because of the makeup ^^;;]

After removing both left & right of my face~

That's why I should hide my face behind the 眼鏡 ^^;;

My verdict!

Hada Labo Hydrating Cleansing Oil Review:

Product Weight : 200ml

Product Ingredients: Ethyl Palmitate, Triethylhexanoin, Sorbeth-30
Tetraisostearate, Peg-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit
Oil, Water, Dextrin Palmitate/ Ethylhexanoate, BHT, Simmondsia Chinensis
(Jojoba) Sea Oil, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Hydroxpropyltrimonium
Hyaluronate

Product Type: Oil

Packaging: 8/10 - The usual pump bottle ^^ Just 1/2 pump down is enough
for the whole face for me! Took points off because I of that too~ Gotta be a
little careful when I pump the oil out else too much will be dispensed.

Cleansing Power: 9.5/10 - Everything is removed thoroughly and quickly. Do
not have to use extra strength in removing my lashes or eye liner.

Texture: 9/10 - Ultra Smooth! Very flow-y. don't feel thick/ sticky/ viscous!

Ease of Use: 9/10 - You don't even need cotton! Just pump, slap [no, not
literally] it on your face and rub, rub, rub ^^

Availability: 8.5/10 - It is available exclusively in Watsons Islandwide! I'm sure
there's a Watsons near you but still, I took points of since it is exclusive to
Watsons ^^

Price: 8.5/10 - Priced at SGD $20.90/ 200 ml bottle, it can last pretty long
since I do not use make up everyday and only required about half a pump for
my whole face!

Repurchase: Yes. I can see myself buying it for the sake of removal of waterproof make up! I like how it is very gentle with my eye area ^^

Overall Rating: 9/10

I really like how gentle it is with my face! Even when cleansing my eye area
with this, it did not sting at all :3 I did not have to exert much strength in
cleansing waterproof eye liner either :3

[Sponsored] Hada Labo Retinol Lifting + Firming Lotion Review
Hi loves,
bringing back some product reviews again :D

First one for today will be on... the new range from Hada Labo!
Received 2 boxes from The Sample Store! [I LOVE THEM!]

First box contained...
Hada Labo Lotion x Press Release!

Closer shot of product [:

Color & Texture of product:

Before using the Lotion:

After almost 2 weeks of using

Okay wondering why there's an arrow pointing to the red spot?
Here's the story.
I went to replenish some medicine from my derma, and tried some new products
without stopping the medicine and cream.
Usually when I review products, I will do that because I'm afraid there might be adverse
interaction of products.
This time, since my skin has been really bad, I thought I can use it together with the
bunch of new stuff but NO was wrong T.T
My skin dried up really badly.
So the flaking was really terrible.
I went to peel the huge piece of dead flaking skin lying on my face and when the huge
piece came off, there was blood.
So yea, that huge patch of red spot is because of that.

Okay, so background story aside, here's my verdict:
4.5/5
From above story, after using for about 3 days, I started using a new facial wash
[Mentholatum Acnes] and then the super terrible flaking happened.
My skin became red and dried!
[I will elaborate about the facial wash later]
So I thought, skin is being so raw, I should stop using all products.
After 2 days, no improvement!
So since this has hydrating properties, I thought I will just use it anyway and see if
it helps.
After just ONE day, I can see the difference. I am amazed!
Because I was quite skeptical about it since I don't really have dry skin problems while
using the normal SHA Hada Labo Lotion in the past so I can't tell if it actually is really
working or as awesome as what everyone claims it to be.
But this incident really proved to me it's hydrating factor!
I believe firming and lifting will take some time to see  a difference but if you talk
about hydration/afraid that it might not be as good as the normal SHA transparent one,
you have absolutely NOTHING to worry about (:
Really extremely impressed with it.
The "after" picture was taken 2 days after I resumed the use of Hada Labo Retinol
Lifting and Firming Lotion and you can see my skin is no longer flaking (:
Of cos, the red spot is still there D:

So if you are considering to use the new Retinol range and not sure if you should get
it, I'm telling you, GIVE IT A TRY!
2 thumbs up!

Don't forget to "Like" Hada Labo Facebook Page to redeem samples and latest
updates~! (:

[Next post will be on the Mentholatum Acnes wash]
